Nottinghamshire Cricket Watch & Everything Cricket.
@liampie In the 100 ball game called "the hundred" the "Trent Rockets" (mens and womens), are the home team that plays at Trent bridge. In this format,, each side get 100 balls per innings rather than the 20/20 format that has 20 overs per innings (120 balls) where Nottingham Outlaws are the home team.

UK Weather Watch.
A few years ago they were just weather fronts, now they are named storms. They are not any more intense than when they were just weather fronts. It just seems that way when they are named. I suppose naming them gets people's attention, that's possibly what they want.

A Stuart Maynard Notts Team? A Tactical Analysis.
I agree @True Magpie I would like Notts to be more cautious and less adventurous up front. Notts are an entertaining team, but I do dislike the tendancy to involve in ping pong football with the opposition. We've seen a lot of that during the last dozen games or so when Notts have found themselves behind to defensive errors and are then forced to throw caution to the wind. I hope Stuart can change that.

Notts County Welcomes New Talent: Defender Jaden Warner
I believe Jaden Warner is going to be a really good signing for Notts, his hight being 6ft 4ins, his pace and skill on the ground is just what Notts need at the back. He's very comfortable going forward and has played on the left or right of defence for Norwich. Jaden has three days or so to train with his new team mates before the Barrow match on Saturday. I would like him to go straight into the side on Saturday but he'll probably be on the bench for that game. Incidentally, Jaden has been used to playing in a back 4 at Norwich rather than a back 3. I still believe Stuart will make some subtle changes to the way we shape up for Barrow, to plug those gaps on transition when we lose possession high up the pitch. Can't wait till Saturday.

A Stuart Maynard Notts Team? A Tactical Analysis.
I agree @allardyces tash Stuart's personality is different to Luke's. I think Stuart's approach may be what the team needs, but we'll have to wait and see.

I agree with your sentiments @Chris as I've already said, I think the extra time with the players before Barrow can only be a positive.

Rugby Union: Nottingham RFC
@Ohh Tommy Johnson exactly, I think they're trying to do that with Cricket too, but that's for another Topic

Rugby Union: Nottingham RFC
@Ohh Tommy Johnson I agree with most of what you say. I can remember when Rugby Union was basically an amateur sport and Rugby League professional. Rugby Union is in crisis and the Rugby authorities need to address this.Whether they will successfully is another matter. I don't think that the sport can generate the income anywhere near what we see even in the football championship level. As lovers of the game we can only watch on the sidelines & it's always the supporters who suffer. Hopefully a major Rugby Club will continue to have a future in the City. The recent flood damage was a big blow but supporters and the Rugby community have rallied round to help. Nottingham has a proud record of producing great International players. I'm optimistic that the glory years will return to Nottingham RFC one day.
