  1. Sorry to Sound Negative, but Questions about Stuart Maynard are going to Start being asked Again. I Agree with You @RobbieNotts should be Winning Matches like this and Victories Build Confidence within the Team and Belief Amongst the Fans. As you say @Fan of Big Tone Dan Crowley coming off is a Big Worry, lets hope it's just as a Precaution and he'll soon be Back. Because if he is injured with both him and Matt Palmer unavailable, for the Start of the Season, Notts are going to Start off on the Back Foot.
  2. 2-0 up with a Staring Line Up being Considered for the Start of the New Season and a National League Team Pull Notts back to 2-2. Good Grief. Jatta scored again which is a Positive.
  3. Macca's First goal for Millwall will come Sure as Eggs is Eggs. Wouldn't Surprise Me if it was a Double either.
  4. It's a Shame Notts couldn't have held on to Macca till this Match and Show York City What They Let Go. Full Agreement @Robbie It is time Maynard put out the Team he's Seriously thinking about Starting the New Season with. Something I Thought He Should Have Done Germany. That's Why I said Stuart Maynard. I'm Still Not Sure.
  5. @Robbie Just Wishful Thinking On My Part.
  6. If that is the Case @Robbie, I don't understand why they bought him. Why pay money for a Player with Macca's Goal Scoring Talent only to leave him on The Bench. Loan him Out? Now there's an Idea, if he's not doing well at the Den. They can always loan back out to Notts, where he'll score Goals and Get his Confidence Back.
  7. @Robbie You're Not Wrong regarding the Fact that Macca had many talented Players around him at Notts. And that is what Millwall need to Do, Feed Him and the Goals will Come. The thing is will Macca's new Club change their style of play just for him? Macca I think we have to Adapt to their Style and that may take time, and if he Doesn't Perform well how long will it be before the Fans start getting on his Back? I know Macca says he Doesn't Set Himself Goal Targets during a Season. The thing is will the Lions Head Coach expect a certain amount of Goals from Him? I think as a bare Minimum they'll expect him to get into Double Figures and look to him getting 15-20 goals all Told. I really hope Macca succeeds but Only Time Will Tell.
  8. @Robbie That is the Main Problem Macca is going to have, establishing himself as Regular Starter for Millwall, and the way he'll Do That is by Scoring Goals. However if Millwall want Macca to Score Goals (and that's why they bought him) They are going to have to Play to his Strengths. How many times in the Past have we seen Strikers arrive with a Fanfare at a New Club only to Fail Miserably because his New Team didn't Play to his Strengths. Maybe It was Part of the Deal, that if Macca failed at Millwall, Notts Could Buy Him Back?
  9. Major Talent Will Always Shine Through. The Trouble is if Notts did Unearth a Future Super Star, you can Guarantee he wouldn't be at the Lane Long before the Big Clubs come sniffing Round. Because as You have said in the Past @Robbie Big Clubs don't want to Nurture their own Talent they just Want To Buy It from another Club. Some Players are late Bloomers Look at Macca he was released by York City and spent a few years Kicking Around the Lower Leagues (was it at the 7th Level? ) He was given his chance by Gateshead, then Notts took him On and the Rest as they Say Is History. The Annoying thing is there might be a Hidden Talent in the Notts Academy, But because of the Attitude Notts have appeared to have Taken the Magpies will never get any Benefit from that Player, because they won't give him a Run in the First team, to see how he develops. After a Couple of years being Loaned out by Notts, he could move on and another Club, who are Prepared to take a Risk on playing him could Gain a Hugh Transfer Fee for Him., when that Money could have benefitted Notts instead of the Kids New Team. Look at Tiernan Brookes if he goes on to have an Excellent Season at Gateshead and he catches the Eye of Some Scout from Higher Up the Footballing Pyramid, and Gateshead sell Him they Get the Double Benefit of him having played for them and then get the financial Reward when the Sell Him.
  10. This Seems a Little Strange the Academy having Matches While the First Team Squad Is Away. Surely it would Have Been Better, For Stuart And His Coaching Staff being there to Run An Eye Over Notts Up And Coming Talent? Oh Silly Me. The Reason For These Matches Is Well, We Can Sell Him, Sell Him And Sell Him. Because It Seems Notts Don't Want To Promote Their Own Talent Into The First Team Squad At Some Future Date.
  11. This Old Girl dies and goes to heaven. She's met by St Peter at the Pearly Gates. Name? asks Pete. Mary Smith. I've come to join my husband John Smith. Lady have you any idea how many John Smith's we've got up here? I need more than that. Well says the Old Girl. My husband said if I was ever unfaithful to his memory. He'd turn in his Grave. Ah You mean Spinning John Smith.
  12. When it comes to your body, it's just Not your Breath and Arm Pits you need to Worry About. If You're a Bloke, there's Always that time when the Beer that other Beers Can Not Reach Reaches the One Place You Didn't Want It To Reach In The First Place.
  13. Isn't it Interesting? That You think you know Somebody then they come out with Something You Never Knew About them. Take My Wife (I wish someone would) Turns Out Ever Since she was a Little Girl She Wanted To Be A Ballerina. Well Sweetheart I said You've Always Been My Nut Cracker.
  14. £750,000. You're having a Laugh. Who ever Negotiated that Deal want's FIRING. That's all it took to Sell a Goal Machine like Macca? It was rumoured last season he was worth at least £1.5 million. So much for It will take a exceptional offer to coax Macca away from the Lane, So Much for We don't need to Sell Players Eh? Richard Montague. Why is everything Hush Hush? Why Not tell the Fans the Details of Macca's Transfer? It will come out eventually anyway, so why Not Tell Us Now? So we Fans can understand why he's been Sold at a Lowly Price. Honestly we Fans are treated as if we're Stupid. Am I Pi**ed Off You Betcha Regarding Macca himself a Footballer's Career is a Short one and can easily be stopped by an injury. Going on to Better things I Don't think it could have happened to a Nicer Guy. Macca I Sincerely Hope you go on to Break even more Records and hopefully you find yourself playing in the Premier League One Day. You were a Star At The Lane, You'll Always Have A Place in Every Notts Fans Heart. You Sir Are A Legend, and May all Good Things Come Your Way. MACCA LONGSTAFF - HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN.
  15. I Enjoy History and Just lately I've Started Looking At My Family History. It's Amazing What you find out about your Ancestors. My Great Grandad got his First Job, When He Was 10 Tears Old. He was a Wringer Out, For A One Armed Window Cleaner.
  16. The Wife comes in from shopping the other day Look what I've bought she says. Flashing a Ring with a Large stone in it. What's that ? I asked That's a Mood Ring. So what happens is when she's in a Good Mood the Stone turns Blue When she's in a Relaxed Mood the Stone turns Green But when She's in Bad Mood. It leaves a Big Red Mark in the Middle of me Forehead.
  17. The Pennines are called the Backbone of Britain, So We All Know What That Makes London.
  18. You Do Realise That Due To The Shirts Appearance The Notts Players Will Now Have To Learn The Hakka !!????
  19. Connell Rawlinson HE'S ONE OF OUR OWN.
  20. Do you remember those Animal shaped Biscuits? Chocolate on one side and an Animal on the other. It said on the Packet Do Not Eat If Seal Is Broken. I opened the packet up and Wouldn't You Know It The Seal Was Ok, it was the Giraffe that was Broken So I Scoffed The Lot.
  21. The thing about the Nest is that it's Never been fully explained what happens to the place when there's No Premier Events taking place E.G the Euro's . Will Notts Fans still have to pay a Fiver to stand or a Tenner to sit down on Match Day? If so it's going to drive a lot of Families away, No Cash payments may also be a cause for concern. So once the Euro's are finished hopefully the Club will make a Statement detailing what is going to happen at the Nest what events are planned etc, but most important what it's going to Cost the Ordinary Fan.
  22. @CliftonMagpie I totally Agree with you regarding your points about the Nest. It should be a Place were Notts Fans can come together to support the Team. It's Sold Out Screams the Headline. However what happens when the Euro's Finish? Or when the Novelty wares off and the Honeymoon Period Finishes? and it's just down to Notts Fans to keep the place going? I told a Mate of mine who is a Regular at the Navigation, it costs him £3 a pint for his favourite Beer , that means he can have three beers and some change out of a Tenner he'll have to pay to sit down in the Nest. The Club also Missed A Huge Opportunity to connect more with the Magpies faithful. Why didn't they run a couple of Competitions regarding Naming The Fan Zone? Plus they could have asked Fans to Design the Logo for the Nest Have different Age groups all the Winning Designs could have been Framed and hung in the Nest and the Ultimate Winner their Design would be placed outside at the Nest Front. And I'm Pretty sure it would have cost a lot less than the Hiring of a Graphic Artist who designed the Monstrosity which Now Welcomes Fans.
  23. @liampie I Always thought Jonathan Forte Got A Raw Deal at Notts. He should have played more and I think if he'd had gotten a Decent Run in the Side, he would have scored many more Goals. He's Retired Now I Believe Through Injury.
  24. Did you hear about the Dyslexic Pimp ? Bought himself a Warehouse. My Mate is 18 stone and it takes him hours to get to my place. Mind You there's a McDonald's and 2 Greggs between his House and Mine. Terrible News another Mate and his long Term Girlfriend have Split Up. She said he thinks more of his Puzzle Books than he did her. Which is true 15 years they were together and Never a Cross Word.
