Oh how I can relate to that I had serious needle phobia and I mean serious, I’d break out in a sweat just seeing a needle let alone having one. However I was so worried about catching covid I forced myself to face my worst nightmare, it was hard, very hard but I managed it and the feeling of elation afterwards was indescribable, I still get very agitated if I have to have blood tests or anything but nothing like I used to be because the more jabs I’ve had the easier it got.

When I was 16 we used to live on Cambria Street which was off Cranmer Street, I used to walk my beloved dog called Skip on Elm Avenue, sadly Skip died of distemper because we couldn’t afford the inoculation. I’ve never had a dog since.

Indeed, it was something I was really looking forward to having lived in the steam era, I tried to engage them by telling them my memories of steam trains but they were bored. In fact the whole day was a disaster because Whitby was absolutely packed with holiday makers so it wasn’t much fun.

We took our grandchildren on a steam train from Pickering to Whitby it cost over £100 and they sat looking at their phones for the whole journey, ☹️ at least I enjoyed it.

It’s Friday again, how are we all? I’m feeling pretty good after a night catching up with an old friend over a pint last night, sadly he’s a Forest fan but apart from that he’s an ok guy. Tomorrow it’s park run day, it’ll be number 101 for me so I’ll be able to wear my new running shirt. Sunday well we know what’s happening then don’t we? I’ll probably be watching at home with a pint I’m not into large crowds or busy pubs, Mrs. T enjoys watching too so we’ll both enjoy the match. How’s your weekend shaping up? Or anything else you want to chat about or get off your chest.

I don’t see why you have to change Macca will always be a name remembered by Notts fans for many years to come. Look at my username Fan of Big Tone, Tony Hateley was my hero he’s sadly deceased now and stopped playing for Notts many years ago but to me he is a legend, so if Macca was your hero then stay as you are, or like someone else said change it to Fan of Macca.

I’m not sure I agree that it should have been a penalty, the defender was trying to prevent Kane from scoring by going for the ball, the fact that he caught Kane’s foot was an unintentional accident, there was no malice or deliberate intention to injure. Football is (or should be) a contact sport and players do come together while playing the ball, was the defender supposed to just stand aside and let Kane score? For those reasons I would say no penalty but I’m glad it was.

Absolutely @Robbie I’m so pleased for England but so pleased for Notts as well, they must be making a mint and giving lots of fans a lot of enjoyment.

Whatever you say about Gareth Southgate he’s got us to the final, so I think all those armchair England managers should just shut up and let Gareth get on with his job. IN GARETH WE TRUST!
