I’m not sure if it’s just me or if it’s due to streaming and having everything just a download away. When I was younger, I would have the urge to watch certain films. I would put in a VHS tape or later, a DVD. I own quite a lot of films, all of which were favourites of mine in some way or another. Sometimes, I think about a film I haven't seen in a long time and eventually, I can't resist the temptation to watch it. However, these days I don’t think much about films I have seen. I rarely watch DVDs any more since everything is available for streaming. What is your experience?
There was a period where I would watch something I previously enjoyed at least once or twice a week, but now it’s more like every 3–6 months. It’s a habit I really need to break. Halloween and Christmas are the only exceptions, as we enjoy watching Hocus Pocus and Home Alone 1 and 2.
Is it just me? Is it an age thing? Share your thoughts below.
I was rather hoping we’d sign him, it’s a great signing for Gateshead.
On Tuesday 18th July Notts travel to Telford for a friendly match with AFC Telford.
How many players, coaches, managers etc., can we name that have links with both clubs?
I’ll start you off with Spencer Weir-Davis who played for Notts between 2007 and 2009 making 40 appearances scoring 3 goals.
Over to you how many more can we name?

First time seeing Notts vs Forest so here goes
- Good performance first half. Controlled the game and created some clear cut chances. Promising against a team who had a lot more first team players out than last year
- Palmer and Jones had good games. The tempo and passing quality are still there with Matty and Jodi, with a full pre-season will be exciting
- Nemane and Tobi linked up well down the right and given time, that link could flourish. Nice to see an adaptation to the system, where we fall back into a back 4 when defending. Some defensively problems sorted but not all which brings me on to...
- The fact we still need a CB. Our lack of pace is still worrying and without Baldwin, our calmness on the ball isn't as high. AB not having played a single minute of pre-season is worrying. However I imagine that Claxton playing there means we may be after one ????
- I was impressed with Nathan Claxton when he came on. Comfortable with the ball, decent positioning, brought the ball out from the back. Give him a few more games, but we still need a CB
- We looked a lot more sharper and up to speed than we did last week. Still some rough edges to smooth over but it comes with pre-season games. The link up play will get better with games

6 hours ago, Fan of Big Tone said:Williams praised the Forest manager for chatting with him before the game and said it wasn’t often you could swap ideas with a Premiership manager and he hoped to get the two management teams together at some stage for a meeting.
It’s clear that full focus during key stages is crucial. Williams owning up to his mistake and apologising shows good leadership. I initially thought Cameron had switched off, but this explains what happened.
It was a good game of football tbf.
I thought we deserved at least a goal. We had the better opportunities and I think it's fair to say the loss was possibly against the run of the game. It was only a mistake that let them in to get the only goal which Williams owned up to after the match rather than it being down to Cameron which I have to give him credit for doing so it shows great leadership deflecting it onto himself rather than the player.
There were times where it was a bit frustrating that nothing was materialising in the final 3rd despite getting in to good areas on multiple occasions only for the ball to end up back or Forest being able to regroup quickly.
I did notice that when Claxton played the wrong ball, Langstaff was quick to blast him for it as there were better options available for him to pass to that could have lead to a great attacking opportunity.
There will always be those that say Forest didn't play their full squad that would regularly feature in the Premier League but there were many of them that will feature quite often next season. Also, we played a very mixed bag in both halves especially the second half where the likes of Claxton, Munakandafa and Mahovo came on.
Jones and Nemane, I thought, did well down the wings and looked threatening going forward. I'd also like to note that Chicksen had Mighten right in his pocket which led to Forest needing to move him on the other side.
Overall I thought it was a great pre season game that showed where the players are at and also gives Williams an idea of where the teams at, what needs to worked on and how to progress with this team for the upcoming season to get the most out of it.
Nottingham itself had a festival-like feeling in the bars and pubs. It was a nice change to see fans of both teams having a laugh and realising how good it is for our city that we support a local club. The pace of the game was set quite early, and although there were times when it lifted, it would naturally reset back to the original amount. This made the friendly a lot more enjoyable. The brief spells of rain never bothered me, and I thought the game itself was brilliant. Both teams tested each other, and the defeat doesn't bother me, nor did the manner in which it happened.
Respect.

Where does Junior Morias fit within this squad? I don’t think he’s quite the “panic buy”, but it seems like a strange signing considering his injury and the level of minutes he ended up playing. It’s great that we are building depth, but in each of his positions we have multiple players and his place on the pecking order seems to lower with each addition.
So, where does he fit in Luke Williams’ side?

Good morning all, well the weekend is here so what plans have you got? Or if you are reading this late what have you been doing? Let the community know, it’s great to get an insight into other people’s lives.
I’m very excited because me and Mrs. T are going away for a week to the Yorkshire coast, we are very much looking forward to this because we had to cancel our Corfu holiday last month. Ok Yorkshire isn’t Corfu but it’ll be a nice break for us both.
Hopefully I’ll have wifi but if I go quiet on here it’ll be because I can’t get on so much.
Have a great weekend and let us know what’s happening in your life,

On Saturday 15th July Notts will take on Nottingham For*st in a pre season friendly, kick off 1pm.
Over the years there have been lots of players, coaches, managers etc., who have ventured from our neighbours crossing the Trent to Notts County.
I’ll start you off with a player from the 60’s and 70’s Bill Brindley became a firm favourite at Notts after making the move making 250 appearances and named as player of the season in 1975, he also played for Gillingham and non league sides Grantham, Burton and Alfreton before managing Meadows Albion, Heanor, Ilkeston and Arnold.
How many more links can we find?

I came across this video that's currently doing the rounds on social media and it just about sums up what a character Neil Warnock is. He's the gift that keeps giving ????
Also, check Warnock out on Kammy and Ben's proper football podcast. Could listen to him for hours.
Anyone got any other great Warnock moments? There's surely plenty out there ????

Former Rangers striker Andrew Dallas linked to Gillingham after ending the season on loan at National League play-off finalists Chesterfield from Solihull Moors.
Could this be why Neal Ardley decided he wanted out of Solihull Moors?

In your opinion, what is the greatest comeback EVER?
For me it has to be Liverpool v AC Milan 2005 in the Champions League Final.
Football is an unpredictable game and this games shows exactly that.
Liverpool had no right in coming back from 3-0 down against an absolutely star studded Milan team.
This is what makes the comeback that bit better, it wasn't even the fact that Liverpool were trailing 3-0 at half time in the UCL final, it's more how they did it and against a team oozing with quality.

Unfortunately, the young centre back doesn't seem to have what it takes to succeed. He performed poorly against Nuneaton. In comparison to Owen Betts when he was here, he falls short. While he may improve, he currently appears to be a liability. We have other, better young players who could have made better use of the game time. If he's playing due to the risk of injury, it suggests we need to bring in another centre back. The rest of the squad did well, and I don't think Aidan Stone can be blamed for any of the goals. It is what it is, and we move on.
From our point of view, Notts made it very easy for Stoke City, and the number of mistakes, even in a friendly, was alarming. However, it’s not the end of the world. I don’t see those errors happening as frequently against players closer to our own level. Just imagine how other teams felt when we played them last season; it’s virtually the same effect.
There’s no need to resort to the stupidity of losing, regardless of the manner. I think those vocal fans have let down the whole club and community. That said, there are some interesting and very decent comments. Frustration should never lead to anger, though.

Have to feel sorry for both of these. Gary O'Neil did well for Bournemouth, managed to keep them in the Premier League and pulled off some great results with him as head coach. While Darren Moore got Sheffield Wednesday promoted after guiding them to one of the greatest comebacks in football.
The Bournemouth one is understandable as they had a replacement already lined up with how quick the new manager has been announced. However, I feel that's a bit shady from the club to already have someone lined up before the man in charge is still at the club. Never liked clubs like that.
I'm not buying the whole mutual consent situation with Darren Moore that seems to get thrown around as a cop out by the club. I could be wrong and I'll stand corrected if it is actually the case.
What's everyone's opinion, if you have any, on these sackings?
