I had my second experience of being a pitch side photographer, I really enjoyed it. Well Done to Basford United, Notts and Forest Legends!

Due to the International break, this Saturday's fixtures will consist of three league one games, and three league two games.

Β

Saturday's Fixtures:
Bristol City v Chesterfield

Oldham Athletic v Walsall

Sheffield United v Leyton Orient

AFC Wimbledon v Bury

Luton Town v Southend United

Shrewsbury Town v Cheltenham Town

I was watching the England v Estonia game tonight and the ref added 4 extra minutes at the end. At the top of the TV screen the added minutes were shown counting down and it got me thinking why is it that when I go to a Notts match the scoreboard stops at 90 minutes and if minutes are added we are left guessing when the match will finish.

Is there a reason for this? Why can't they leave the clock running does anyone know?

Some of these are classics!

Just heard on Radio Red that the rugby club are leaving Mradow Lane in January and moving to Lady Bay Sports Ground.

That's got to be good news hasn't it?

Pride of Nottinghams - Player of the Month (October 2014)

Roy Carroll!

Would he have gotten your vote? Does he deserve it? Thoughts and Opinions? Please congratulate our No. 1!

------------Information---------------

We'll do this each month and if I get time, I will do the "Man of the Match" after games. Around the 5th of each month a poll will go up, we will count each vote (or comment if members use mobiles) and include the votes from our social pages. Then we'll name the "Pride of Nottingham - Player of the Month".

I would love to see members joining in with voting and commenting, also would be fantastic to see different people starting the poll.

When I've been asked, I say "Walsall". I would like them to be drawn, I am not so bothered about it being at home or away as I like their ground and the two times I have visited have been something to remember. Plus to would be nice to catch up with @sadlad and perhaps get our own back on Walsall for last season.

Well Paul Hart was on BBC's Pre MatchTalk, he spoke about his career and interesting mentioned that the appointment was definitely temporarily. He's here to "help" out and it could only be for a few weeks, which he said he will enjoy. I don't know what to make of this, I personally see no point in gaining help from someone unless it's for a considerable length of time. I mean, Mick Halsall does a fantastic job with youngsters himself.

Could this be more to do with Mick Leonard? Either way, I am hopeful he can "help" and possible remain here for at least until the end of the season.

Getting good players through takes time, you can bring in changes which helps but having additional quality is never a bad thing. I saw him overlook training this last Monday and the children was very nervous but also excited.

Here's the interview.

Notts have reduced prices for this clash and there is a poster to download to promote the offer, let's hope we get a good crowd and more importantly a win.

All to often in the past when a good crowd gets down the Lane the team fail to put on a good performance.

Hello, my names John.I have been following pon for several months now, today I decided to join the site. I have been a fan since the early 70's, seen us reach great heights and some massive lows.Still I am positive that under our management we can progress.

Β Β  On the 5th of October last year Notts beat Crewe 4- 0.This was the 10th game of the season and meant Notts were 19th in League one with just 4 pointsΒ  and a goal difference ofΒ  -6.Going into this years first October game ,Notts are in 10th place after the same number of games but with 14 points andΒ  a goal difference of +4.

Β Β  It took Notts until the 7th of December last year to manage 14 points. This was after Sean Derry's 5th match in charge and found Notts rock bottom of the league after 20 games and with a goal difference ofΒ  -13, having just won 3 - 1 at home against....... Gillingham

Β Β Β  So where will Notts be this year after 20 games? The next 10 fixtures (unless games are re-arranged) are as follows ,with current league positions in brackets-

Β Β Β Β Β Β  Home-Gillingham(14th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  CrawleyΒ Β Β  (13th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  WalsallΒ Β Β Β Β  (17th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  YeovilΒ Β Β Β Β Β Β  (16th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  SwindonΒ Β  (3rd)

Β Β Β Β Β  Β  Away-BarnsleyΒ Β Β  (21st)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Scunthorpe(23rd)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  CoventryΒ Β Β  (15th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Shef UtdΒ Β Β Β  (7th)

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  RochdaleΒ Β Β  (5th)

This will take us to the 20th of December.Based on last years statistics Notts need about 30 points to maintain 10th place-that's 16 points from 10 games

Here are some pictures I supplied to @Dripsey3 for the Irish Magpies, they aren't the best but I did enjoy having a go. I hope to help the international pages, as they help me and content like this is a way for me to thank them. Please do head over to their page and give the album a like if you do, this will help the Irish Magpies further.

I am unsure if I will do this but pleased to have been given the chance, I also want to thank @Cobby who let me borrow his camera.

Last game of the season coming up, they've managed to put together some impressive victories to remain in the top league. Injuries have set them back, whilst possible adapting to each other but I don't think it's been a bad season. Certainly I would write it off!

We have the chance to build a stronger team, compete with the top three teams and I think Ellen White will make a huge difference.

How do you feel the seasons gone? Hope for next year? Let's discuss this.

Here's Desiree Scott and Jess Clarke's thoughts.

I'm just listening to Matchtalk on Radio Red and they are on about Derry is eager to form a new relationship with them across the river.

The two loan players are a testament to the fact that it seems to be benefitting both clubs and the players involved. Notts benefit from getting two class players that are improving the squad, Fword have the benefit of getting the players fit and getting more experience and the players benefit because they can get a competitive game at a club very close to their parent club do no travelling or moving home.

I think it's great and hope it continues. What do others think?

  1. 1. Which do you prefer?

When Bart was rumoured to be leaving, I like many fans couldn't believe it. I highly rate Bart both for his football skills and for the way he was around the club. However, this was posted on PoN's page around the time of the Preston game - "Having seen Roy Carroll is anyone bothered that Bart left to go to Ipswich. were he appears to be 2nd choice to a gherkin. Is playing not important or has he gone to get free tractor driving lessons."

Haha....

Interestingly I do keep hearing similar comments. I for one, I'm not bothered now but I am so pleased that we signed an experienced keeper.

So, simple question. Roy or Bart? In the words of Harry Hill... FIGHT! ;)

After reading alot from Roy Keane this week (great beard RoyΒ  :hairy:Β  :hairy:Β  :hairy:Β )

Β

Two part question.

Β

One How many Notts players that have gone into management can you name?

Β

Two Which players from the last 10 yrs to wear the bk and white could you see doing well in management and why?

easy game for england? i think so, i think the score will be 1-0 but england will dominate.

BBC Sport - Russell Slade: Cardiff target resigns as Leyton Orient ...

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29355312 - Cached

3 hours ago ... Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade, favourite for the vacant Cardiff City job, tenders his resignation as O's boss

Can;t say I blame him!

Some might recall this story breaking, a young lad "Jamie Parks" was told he was too small to be a left back. Instead of casting him aside, it was suggested that he moved into horse racing as a jockey. He did so, he's moved down to doncaster aiming to follow up on a new idol Hayley Turner.

This is a interview I just heard - This was broken by East Midlands news a little back but young lad is set to turn pro after his studies. :)

This season Gillingham are proving themselves not to be push overs! (much like ourselves), they're a much better side than the one we saw last season. A lot of this goes down to the experienced "Paul Taylor" for me and he's got players like Danny Kedwell doing much better. Of course they also have Cody McDonald, both of which have scored four so far this season.

Notts will be thankful for the sterling defence we have this season, which I hope the two gills players will find hard to face.

That said, I do think we can beat them. If we can get the crowd going and the football flowing, I don't see why we can't beat them. I think the score could be 2-0, I at least hope big Roy keeps them out!

Thoughts? Predictions?
