Harry was born 11th of February 2010, and was joined up to the junior magpies two weeks later. He was a proud owner of the football shirt at the same time. We took him to his first match when he was only a few weeks old. The match was against Macclesfield Town, and we won 1-0 (goal by Clapham in 18th minute). Harry was taken to every home game of the season, and a running joke that he was our lucky charm was soon banded about within the family and friends at the club. We also got married at theAdded by Chris

With Notts County flying high in League Two, manager Kevin Nolan is very much the man of the moment for overseeing the transformation of a side that was previously all but certain to slip out of the Football League. In a recent interview with The Observer, the 35-year-old spoke about a number of topics both about himself and his club. Pride of Nottingham has taken his quotes and neatly and concisely compiled there here for you. Should you wish to read the full interview on the ObsUpdated by Joe Jones

Weymouth based Magpie Alan Hargreaves and his wife Debra is planning an extraordinary journey for charity this summer. The couple are very keen cyclists as it is, but this journey is on a slightly different level to Weymuff’s usual 14 mile commute to work on his bike every day. Their plan is to cycle the length of Britain from Land’s End in deepest Cornwall to John O-Groats, right at the top of Scotland. A trek of over 990 miles! Two weeksUpdated by cheeky~k8

In case you've been out of the loop for a while, the new EFL season starts this weekend, with Notts County given a baptism of fire this League Two campaign with a trip to Coventry City, a side expected to be in the hunt for automatic promotion, on Saturday. Former Magpies striker Lee Hughes, one of the finest marksmen Meadow Lane has seen in recent years, has kindly given Pride of Nottingham a message of support to pass on to Notts fans as Kevin Nolan's boys face his former club at the RicoUpdated by Joe Jones

The love triangle between Liam Noble, Notts County and Forest Green Rovers was a saga that lasted for a big chunk of the summer, with multiple failed bids and a war of words between the clubs' chairmen, and it appeared settled when the Nailsworth club tied their captain down to a new contract. But over the last week, it's emerged again and then exploded outright as Noble was ruled out through a medical issue, was released by mutual consent due to his desire to move closer to his family in tUpdated by Joe Jones

Sadly now departed for pastures new, Lee Hughes became an icon while at Notts County and his goals in taking us to the League Two title and then keeping us up the following year, allied with his great character, earned him legendary status at Meadow Lane. And there is one game above all that stands out in terms of Hughes’ brilliance for me, and a day that is one of my more memorable supporting Notts. It came during that League Two title season of 2009/10, as the fabled number nine tore poUpdated by Chris

It's a day most unlikely to forget, as it's one our younger fans will be able to pass down to their children in future years. The club very optimistic – as in recent years had seen Notts County go onto have decent cup runs. Back in 2009 the previous season before this meeting Notts County had a very successful cup run which had seen them beat Wigan Athletic after 2-2 draw Meadow Lane. I fondly recall the draw as a 'change' very much seemed to be in the air at this point and after a concerningAdded by Chris

Towards the end of December, I didn't really expect Notts to make many signings, if any, during the January transfer window. Some sources claimed that no signings would be made at all. I stuck to hopes that we would see some sort of inbound movement within the transfer period at Meadow Lane. I think more than anything I was hoping we would sign players on a permanent basis. Yet I did think if any movement was made, it would mostly be in the form of loans, and I'm not against thatUpdated by cheeky~k8

Mark Hateley has spoken of how his father, Notts County legend Tony Hateley, was instrumental in immersing him in the world of football, and how the 56-year-old made sure to do the same with son Tom, now also a professional footballer. The Hateley dynasty of pro players stretches three generations, with Tony impressing at a number of clubs besides Notts, including Aston Villa and Liverpool, where he remains just as loved as he is at Meadow Lane. Son Mark, meanwhile, won 32 caps for EngUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County put in arguably one of the worst performances of the season on Saturday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Barnet. The League Two's basement side more than matched their opponents for the majority of the game before grabbing the winner in injury time. A lump upfield by goalkeeper Craig Ross bounced kindly for Alex Nicholls, who raced onto the ball and lashed it past Adam Collin to give the Bees all three points. The result leaves the Magpies fourth in the table, two poinAdded by Joe Jones

Notts County kept up the pressure on League Two leaders Luton Town with a 1-1 draw at Carlisle United on Saturday. The Magpies struggled in the first half as Hallam Hope edged the Cumbrians ahead in the 24th minute at Brunton Park. County failed to clear Nicky Adams's cross and Jamie Devitt's ball was bundled home by Hope from close range. However, Kevin Nolan's side stepped it up a gear in the second half and got their reward. Notts County put in another impressive display to claim a 2-1 win over Carlisle United in Saturday's League Two clash at Brunton Park. It looked like the Magpies' winning run would come to an end at Brunton Park when substitute Jabo Ibehre put the Cumbrians ahead and the clock began to tick over into the 80s. However, Jon Stead drew Notts level in the 85th minute before Matt Tootle struck a winner heading into injury time to make it four wins on the trot for Nolan's boys. Here areUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County missed out on the chance to gain ground on the top three in League Two as they were held to a goalless draw by Wycombe Wanderers in Good Friday's match at Meadow Lane. The Chairboys came to NG2 very much intent on leaving with a point and the Magpies could not break their defence down in an uninspiring, rain-sodden encounter. County had the better of the chances in the first half with Shola Ameobi striking a post following a Terry Hawkridge cross. Kevin Nolan was thenAdded by Joe Jones

Despite Notts having started brightly, Coventry City took control of the game and ended the game claiming all three points in a comprehensive 3-0 win. Adam Collin saved well at his near post early to deny Michael Doyle, but Notts found more time on the ball and enjoyed a lengthy spell as Terry Hawkride came close him self after hitting the post just seven minutes later. On the 28th minute mark Shaun Brisley's flicked header went wide of the goal. Moments later, the Sky Blues foundUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County have made it four clean-sheet wins on the spin after securing a hard-earned 1-0 win over Crawley Town in Saturday's League Two encounter at the Broadfield Stadium. Jorge Grant was the hero once again for the Magpies as he drilled home from close range after Jonathan Forte played a low ball into the loanee's path. The result keeps Notts second in the table and takes their unbeaten run to eight matches, ensuring yet another weekend of smiles for the Black and White Army.Updated by Joe Jones

No sooner have Notts County got back to winning ways that they suffer another negative result, this time a 2-0 defeat at Crewe Alexandra. The Magpies were hoping to build on their 2-1 win over Barnet on Saturday with a result that would keep them top of the table at Gresty Road. However, Notts were not at the races as Michael Raynes rattled home from close range just before half time after Eddie Nolan had headed George Cooper’s free kick across goal. Notts County were denied a clear penalty in Friday's 2-2 draw with Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road. Chris Dagnall cancelled out Adam Campbell's early opener for the Magpies, before captain Michael O'Connor restored the visitors' lead with a second-half finish against his former club. However, County's hopes of recording a fifth straight win were dashed when James Jones made amends for gifting the visitors their early lead. Notts County have moved into the top three of the League Two table thanks to a 1-1 draw at Cheltenham Town on Tuesday night. Terry Hawridge was set up by Jon Stead for the opening goal of the night in the 42nd minute as Kevin Nolan's side led 1-0 at the break. They also had strong claims for a penalty waved away by referee Graham Horwood in the 17th minute when Stead was brought down by Scott Flinders. Notts County fell to an unfortunate and controversial 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night. The visitors took the lead through Richard Duffy, but strikes from James Coppinger and John Marquis either side of the break put Donny in the lead. Notts thought they had equalised when Haydn Hollis headed home in the second half, but the flag went up to rule the goal out, much to the bemusement of the travelling contingent. Notts County have tightened their grip at the top of the League Two table as they powered their way to a 3-0 victory over Exeter City in the battle of the top two on Tuesday night. The Magpies began the match at St James' Park on the back of five successive wins, and left with a sixth against the second-placed Grecians, who they had deposed last weekend.
