Being an Exeter fan must be tough at the moment, given their 9-0 defeat. It’s a harsh reality check and a disappointment for their supporters.

We've all been on the end of a heavy defeat, but 9-0 would have been a very long night. Their goalkeeper won't be too happy, he might as well have sat in the stand with his fans after it went to 5-0.

Just put a sign in the middle of the net.

Exeter doesn’t seem to take the EFL Trophy as seriously as we do. I wonder if there’s a random fan out there grumbling about their manager and his lack of interest in the competition. After a 9-0 loss, they’d have every reason to.

what a shocking result, i wonder how many of their main team played or if its a case of throwing on too many youngsters. i doubt their fans will care because its only the efl trophy even though conceding 9 is shocking.

Very high defeat for them, i know its a trophy match but that will still be an issue for some of their fans.

The situation with Exeter is disappointing and not beneficial for football. If they fielded a strong team, they should consider reimbursing the fans who paid to watch the match.

As for the EFL Trophy, that result is truly embarrassing! What a complete shambles.

Regardless of whether the fans care about the cup or not, this result is simply unacceptable. Conceding that many goals is disgraceful for a professional football club, much like Sheffield United.
