Are you ready for the 2nd Semifinal of Euro 24 tonight when England meet Netherlands at 8pm tonight?

Both teams haven't been at their absolute best yet and will both have to up their game considerably if one of them is fortunate to get through to the final to meet Spain

I don't expect many changes from Gareth Southgate tonight. Gareth isn't a Manager who likes to take bold decisions, and I expect him to stick with the team that he clearly trusts to get England to the final.

Netherlands have some players that can produce a moment of quality, so the England defence will have to be on its guard at all times.

Don't be surprised if this match goes to extra time and we finish up with penalties again. I'm not going to predict a score, I just hope England win

i hope we are, if we can be more creative and try to take chances from distant i think england could make a real game of it. i sort of see it either being very defensive and uneventful or one team will take it to the other, which will force the play to be more open. it would be nice to see the national team win something in my life time.

we are on the verge of making another final, it warrants a good performance and the players do their best.

the majority of england fans will be right behind them. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🦁🦁🦁

England are very capable of scoring a goal against anyone. We have at least 5 World class players & 3 of them can score a goal out of nothing.

England have improved in both knockout matches. We know we are going to get some very nervous moments, it wouldn't be England if we didn't.

But we also have the players that can change a game off the bench if required, so I really do think England have a great opportunity to get to the final.

I think this is the take that the game will shape. I feel as though it will be the Netherlands who will take the game to us and force us to play. It's not necessarily a bad scenario because when we are forced to play, we can blow teams away as has been shown before but we shouldn't need another team to force us to play to our strengths so I'm hoping that we get going from the start and don't sit back on it.

This could be a more open game than we've seen from either side so far in the tournament. Neither England nor the Netherlands have been exactly great throughout this tournament in terms of performances.

Keep to the same system as the previous game and we can get at them.

As @Robbie mentioned subs can make an impact and it could be that that turns the game. Hopefully he makes them earlier than he has previously, especially when things need freshening up if they do.

It's raining heavily, and the ground staff seem to be struggling to clear it. I would be surprised if it went ahead; it looks terrible.

The rain falling off the roof looked as bad as Old Trafford. Wouldn't like to be sitting under that deluge.

Is the roof closed now? They showed scenes of the rain pouring onto the pitch. Some of our players warming up look soaked.

I think the storm has past over, saw the Dutch players ready to come on the pitch to have a kick around. It didn't show them actually going on to the pitch though.

It's a good chance to reach the final. Spain aren't the team they were a few years ago, but whoever wins between England and the Netherlands will have a good chance to make it to a strong final.

Half Time.

Netherlands 1 England 1

England have had six attempts on goal and have had most of the possession.

Foden hit the post and had a toe poke cleared off the line.

Netherlands hit the post too.

England thoroughly deserved to win this match, they were brilliant in the first half.

I'm the second half Netherlands changed tactics and packed the midfield, England more cautious during the second half.

Southgate has been criticised for his reluctance to make changes early enough, but it was an inspired choice of substitution by Southgate, putting Watkins on for Kane.

Then Watkins produced a bit of magic to turn and shoot across the keeper that went in at the far post in the last minute of the game.

So it's Spain v England in the Euro 24 final.

Great performance. We've improved a lot in the group stage, and the way the Netherlands set up to play allowed us to match them. It was a fully deserved win with many good chances. Both teams did their best to make the most of the opportunities. Cole Palmer and Ollie Watkins are brilliant squad players who take their chances.

Whatever you say about Gareth Southgate he’s got us to the final, so I think all those armchair England managers should just shut up and let Gareth get on with his job.
