After the Friday defeat this news is another massive body blow. Notts need to ensure they qualify for the playoffs Hopefully another six points will be enough, to claim a playoff place.

Effectively we have lost Jatta for 9 games for suspensions.... Painful

Because I was only watching on the TV I didn’t see anything but I do remember feeling very nervous when there was mini-brawl, with a Salford CB on the floor, all seemingly aimed towards Jatta. He’s accepted the ban, without a challenge, so it’s pretty obvious he’s done something he shouldn’t.

I’m almost certain the Salford CBs will have wound him up all match, alongside the usual grabbing and stepping on toes because that’s what a lot do. He’s got to not let it get to him though, or failing that be as sly as them.

I’m not enjoying this period of a different player getting banned each week, it’s like we are try to self-sabotage our promotion chances.

Just logged in and found out....are we cursed or something?

This is unbelievably frustrating and maddening. Jatta is one that hasn't learned how to get back at opponents by hurting them with his play.

In terms of threat to Newport, Ndlovu or Dennis (the way he's been playing) are downgrades. But let's see if they can prove they aren't.

It was definitely a wind-up though and what success - eliminate a rival's best player for the vital run-in games.

Crewe have suddenly become my second team - Salford are a poisonous bunch

Talk about history repeating itself. The same thing happened last season! I think we should go back to the system we played against Accrington. No strikers and score 4 goals! Maybe we do better with our backs to walls. Surely things can’t get any worse.

Same procedure as every year. Jatta needs to let his goals do the talking. How can he do that when he's constantly suspended?

I remember some appeals but nothing was visible on PiesPlayer. But chances are he's been caught on camera.

For the coming matches I'd pick Ndlovu up front, select Hall and Luker behind him and tell them to enjoy themselves. Ndlovu can hold the ball up better than Jatta and bring his teammates into the game. Others will have to find their shooting boots.

From the Away end it looked like he’d stamped on their player, Ref consulted the linesman, However nothing given. Thought he was going to get a Red, Any other form of job he’d be sacked for assaulting someone. It’s time we cut our losses and get rid. These clowns are costing us any chance of promotion. The time, effort, money we put in to this club in the quest for success is starting to feel a waste of time. Injuries aside it’s looking like a play off campaign again and in my view with our backing and squad quality this will be classed as a failure. If we go up either way I’ll soon forget the barriers to success. However if we fail on both fronts it’s another clear out from top down.

@Paris Sandwich Man you have hit the nail right on its head and I totally agree with you. Bad attitude and petty child like actions have in my opinion robbed us of guaranteed promotion and as you so rightly said in any other walk of life they would be instantly dismissed and a possibility of arrest and a charge. As fans of such a Wonderful Club we look forwards to seeing the best side put out and good football being played, it's disgraceful that some players don't show the respect and effort required towards the fan base and Club itself.

Partially agree with the above. When Jatta has helped us get into the position we're in and when he gets back, he needs to channel his aggression in the right way. However, I think recent events should be considered if Portsmouth come calling again.

We're very close to achieving our aim this season. If we fall short, we won't need a clear-out - a few targeted, high-quality additions would see us over the line next time.

I could see Jatta calling time on English football, upping sticks and going somewhere else.

I have sympathy for him. He’s a danger man and also a target for provocation. Channeling aggression the right way when you’re being provoked is easier said than done. It doesn’t come naturally to everyone. We’ll see if it’s a challenge he wants to take on and overcome. Starting with Colchester, Bristol Rovers and probably Salford again in the playoffs!
