best notts player you have seen? what game they featured in can you remember?

for me its lee hughes, he looked class and could easily find space or drop off from his markers. the game which stands out for me was the one where he scored his first hattrick he came bursting towards the kop and it all went mental. does anyone remember which team this was? i dont.

Good idea @liampie!

I am interested to see what @super_pie @BradtheMiller @GrannyPie and @Pies4u have to say.

For me, it's similar to Liam. I recall back in 2002 when Notts were at home to Tranmere Rovers. A hot prospect called Danny Allsopp scored an hattrick. I wonder if @Super_Danny_Allsopp will also same the same player but I have been able to see many great players. Andy Legg, Paul Simpson, Steve Cherry, Mark Stallard, Michael Johnson.

Danny stands out for me.

I always felt Steve Finnan stood out, he was a good player for us.

Very disappointed when he left for fulham but that was around the time they had cash injected and you could tell they would be going places. I can recall three games which stand out back when we was in the old 2nd division. I cant quite remember if he featured in the game against Arsenal? I think he did.

I think you all know what my answer will be and as I have said many times on this forum the standout game for me was Big Tone's comback game when Jimmy Sirrel re-signed him and brought him home. His first game back was against Northampton in front of a massive crowd in the 4th division, I still get a tingle down my back when I think of that game.

Other players of note: David Needham, Don Masson (the King), Billy Brindley, Charlie Crickmore, Stevie Carter, Steve Finnan, Kasper Schmiechel and Lee Hughes (of course).

He scored a hat trick on his debut against Bradford City, Notts won 5-0, happy days.

Yes, which is where he pretty much ran into the kop. Lol

I'm  agreeing  with @tonyhateley here also  liked Don Masson and 'killer' kilcline.

A limited choice for me but I thought Don Masson was a class act.

Now then, decisions decisions, I loved watching "The Don", "Killer", was gutted I just missed out on "Scan", but I am going to give it me old neighbour and all round good egg Stubbsy.

Besides his Mam would batter me if I get to heaven, if I didn't.

Don Masson, Les Bradd, Tony Hateley, Richie Barker, Charlie Crickmore. Used to love how Richie Barker would hassle a goalie, (not allowed now is it) goalie's being a protected species so to speak.

come on people keep adding yours.

Recent ones would be Jack Grealish last season and Roy Carroll this season, both class players. When I was a kid I used to like Stallard and Heffernan, both who I remember being good but I was quite young :)

John Chiedozie, he was a different type of player for us.

Spurs snapped him up at a bargain price, I was gutted to see him leave us but had left many memories behind. It is just a shame that he died so early in his life, rest in piece john.

Very classy player.

Rachid Harkouk. On his day he was unplayable. Scored some screamers for Notts in his time. On a bad day though he was awful and missed some sitters. favourite all time player for me though was Iain McCulloch. Chased every lost cause and never gave the opposition time to breathe, let alone play. Would have loved to have seen Gary MacSwegan stay fit and healthy and had a run in the side. Class player whose career was blighted with injuries.
