Hartlepool v Blythe Spartans

Featured Replies

Is anyone watching this tonight on BBC2?

Mrs. H. is out on the razzle with her mates, so I've got the house to myself, I'm treating myself to a curry and I've got a couple of bottles of real ale my son brought be back from the Lake District, Coniston Brewery - Bluebird bitter and Old Man Ale (very appropriate, thanks son).

Actually he tells me that the Old Man refers to the Old Man of Coniston which is mountain, hmmm, I'll believe him I suppose.

Anyway that's me sorted tonight, anyone else watching it? What do you think the score will be, I reckon Hartlepool will win comfortably, maybe 3-0 or more.

I'll watch it. I reckon Blyth Spartans have a serious chance of an upset. Pool have been shocking this season and it's a local derby.

Well my prediction was totly wrong but I felt the monkey hangers were a bit unlucky and could have been 3 or 4 nil up at half time but fair Ay to Blythe Spartans it was their night and it's great to see a little club with local ayers in the 3rd round.

Well done @Dripsey3 you were spot on.

I thought Pool were robbed tonight. The Blyth free kick that lead to the first goal was a dive. Then the ball clearly crossed the line when the keeper spilled it. Blyth won't care, they are in the 3rd round.

I have to say the two times I have been to Hartlepool it has been a good place to go, the fans are friendly, realistic and genuine... The ground is good enough and the little club is great for having a pre match wet

i noticed they had a goal disallowed or not given, it did not look fully over to me.

the ball is required to go fully across for a goal to be awarded right? no goal for me then.

It was very very close but I agree the ball was just touching the line and it has to be completely over so no goal.

@tonyhateley if their keeper had not have got his hand to it when it did, it would have been.

i notice how the bbc and other places are saying it was a goal, it was not. typical of them i guess but i thought the game was good.
