A goal scorer, old fashioned number 9, like Spencer.

we need a wide man.

We need a centre back who can play the ball, rather than kick it long.

We need legs in Midfield

We need at least one striker who knows where the goal is and how to put the ball in it.

From what I've read and heard someone who can put away a few of the chances that Notts are missing at the moment.

Defiantly the best striker we have is really a right mid

The important areas are upfront and the wing, without quality there we are limited.

We could do with a solid defensive midfielder because we currently don't have anyone, plus folks keep telling me Alan Smiths lost his legs and in that case we don't have anyone who can break up play. Traore, Noble, Wroe are better at advancing and don't offer much defensive cover. Mullins could do the job, though he'll most likely be considered backup or a defender himself.

Right back is another area where we could do a solid back up.

Can't Cranston be tried there? Traore used to play at right back for his former French club.

Hopefully we can sign 3 players on a full time basis.

Striker

Winger x2.

Free up Thompson to be a striker outright, no putting him on the winger. He can cross but he's most effective upfront!

Which players fit the bill?

Whatever happened to signing players who made good 'squad rotation'? it seems a thing of the past for us. I mean, really able to cover in positions.

i think we will only see one or two, none being actual strikers.

A striker with quality is a must, yet I doubt we will see that player arrive in this window.

I think we should prepare ourselves for just the standard window, probably all if anyone comes in will be on loan. If that is the case I would hope we focus on the wing, midfield and right back positions.

We need someone who can keep the ball in midfield, we have no had a player like that since Alan Judge left us.

Despite what SD says we are a one dimensional team that only works when playing that way (Hoof) hence why the best passer of a ball at the club (Nicky Wroe) can't get a game

Thing is we play awful hoofball!

@DangerousSausage can you please say the above in German, or, perhaps @ivansneck? I'll pretend to hear it.

We looked much better at the start of the season when we actually attempted to take on players, Notts have the ability to pass sides but they cannot compete with the fitness, pace and legs of the majority of sides within the league. Without the loan signings we desperately lacked energy and pace! I wished we would focus on passing again myself, would rather see us attack and lose than to lose trying to lump the ball.

Hopefully any signings made will help to resolve this.

I have this feeling.

It might be worth to approach players who can do similar to what garry thompson has done, play on the wing and upfront.

i think having players who can rotate is good but for a striker it would be nice to have someone who plays there and that is his position.

A Striker must be a priority?

Our Defence is't that bad, it's workable.

We need a creative (Young) Midfielder and a wideman

I'm Confident SD & GA will get the players in required, to push on to the Play..........Safety :P

i would like to see matt tubes at meadow lane a bit daft maybe a division 2 side player but he has heart passion and has proved he is loyal. He was with Crawley for some years and i think he would make a great transfer.
