Will the rugby club be back?

I see Nottingham RFC are doing really well, I read somewhere that if they get in the Premiership they will be back at Meadow Lane, I like to see them doing well but we don't want them back on our pitch.

I said when the agreement was made that there was this risk, I never though for a second that they'd being so well this season. They've turned it around, so if they go up it could actually be a good thing provided they keep to their half of the deal. I recall hearing and reading that they hadn't contributed to their ground keeping, I recall what was said of that.

If they go up, we'll make money from the Tea Bars and from food.

The pitch shouldn't be an issue if it was addressed and perhaps had undersoil heating.

Hasn't the new agreement got a clause saying if they come back they've got to provide the millions for a perfect artificial surface?

Not millions, they just have to pay for something which will improve the stability of the pitch if they were to play on it.

This could be a vast array of options, most likely requiring the clubs permission to go down and for it to be accepted. That said, if the rumours of their lack of upkeep before Ray took over as chairman then I would be concerned about this failing to be met. Perhaps Ray might reassure his interest within the Rugby? I always he could have tried to see it out a little longer.

i dont have any problems with the rugby club, i think they are good for the community and for ncfc.

the only thing that concerned me was the fact the pitch could not cope with them playing on it, tho i would never wish them harm or anything like that. i dont see them going up, they are quite weak and i can see them having a run of poor performances. they play rugby like notts play football, backwards.

i did not just that. lol
