Mid-Season Slump or Time for Concern?

So who else is feeling the winter blues?

With the cold setting in, and money as tight a a Nun's Crotch.

Notts County are out on the field. and we seem to have lost that Early Season High (I know we were punching above our weight ) But still.

What are your thoughts about these Last 10 Games & Can we move up from here and have an Exciting End to the season?

Confidence, I do feel some of it falls down onto Derry but to turn against him at this point is wrong.

I think when Derry was keeping the squad grounded it lead to self belief creeping in, I just feel some of his comments knocked the wind out of our sails - along with the results and difficult games. I mean Sheffield United was a good result, yet Bradford very disappointing and I don't believe it has much to do with the players who have come in to the squad/starting 11.

For me it also impacted us when we lost lost some of the loan players, they wasn't replaced and this took much of the spark a way.

As I say, I am not concerned at this stage. I think it would silly to think Derry won't get hold of the task he and the team faces, Greg Abbott will need to show his guidance here because he will know what it's like to have the fears of what some fans think is about to happen.

If we can start fighting for points, I think we can turn them into wins. We'll be fine, mid table. No Derry out or anything, give him at least a few seasons.

A field where dreams become reality.

Just became a bit static and lost the momentum we had which allowed us to move forward. I dont fair relegation, I think we will be fine. We might move up but I dont expect an exciting end to the season.

I think we will finish near or where abouts we are now.

I think we would need some run to make the season exciting, considering our current form I just dont see that happening. I do see a respectable finish, supposedly our budget this season is as low as 18th!

Did Ray not say he had not reduced the budget?

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I think some of the early results were lucky and our table position flattering. Saying that after playing the big boys we should see a few results now, I still have confidence in the squad and SD to turn our current form around. Above mid table I predict, the playoffs just out of reach as I believe there are 6 teams better than us.

I hope I'm being pessimistic as I'd love a trip to Wem-be-ley and I'm keeping a space in my diary just in case. It's football you just never know.

COYP!

I agree that we were punching above our weight previously. The poor run over Xmas was due to tough games. Since then it's been down to poor discipline and poor defending.

My concern is I don't see SD being able to stop it now. Poor loanees haven't helped the cause either.

I'm not too worried yet. Tomorrow's game is pivotal. It's a a must game for me. I'd settle for mid table right now.

My hope is that we did enough early on to see us escape a relegation battle my nerves can't take that again.

I hope we can get the points we need for safety early enough to prevent the wobbles.
