Apparently people are mistaking daffodils for spring onions and supermarkets are having to move them from the vegetable area.

So just a reminder to all you romantics for Valentines Day, Daffodils have yellow flowers on the end for goodness sake don't give your loved one a bunch of spring onions otherwise you might get a bunch of fives back :joker:

It is too early for Daffodils.... they aren't ready yet, neither are spring onions, unless you have jetted them in from gawd knows where....

I would get slammed off Mrs PTID for giving her either, as they aren't local... air miles, truck miles blah blah...

She wants what is local and in season

Does she buy them from the local shop for local people?

"What's all this noise we'll have no shouting here this is a local shop for local people."

Fans of league of gentlemen will understand this, everyone else move along nothing to see here.

Erm, you're kidding me?

I could never make that mistake having worked in around kitchens all my life, I can't even comprehend the logic in this. Really? Daffodils are spring onions? THEY DONT LOOK REMOTELY THE SAME. Say's something about our nation.

They don't look anything like each other to me.
