Good Morning everyone, I have heard that the Swindon plan re the use of players is that they plan on playing a near full strength team tonight against Colchester and then an under strength team against Leyton Orient on Sunday.

Swindon is beautiful wherever you go

And the rain in the summertime makes the wurzle tree grow

When you're sitting in the spring time in the thunder and the hail

With your true love on a turnip plant, to hear the sweet nightingale ...Β  :heart:Β  :heart:Β

Come on Swindon!

What a picturesque montage of North Wiltshire that is! Bottom left is Avebury through which we drive to every home match. When a game is played very close to a solstice we see the Druids celebrating. One such time a Druid had a cigarette in one hand and a pint in the other.

Mark Cooper seems to be fairly set so far as his play off team is concernedΒ so I understand will be playing a strong line up and adding only "second string" players who will fighting to break into final squad. A couple are very unlucky to have been under used earlier.

The problem is up front where our three main strikers have scored 6 goals in 100 days.

No matter what happens tonight, Colchester will not be relegated. Even if they lose they could still stay up if they win on Sunday and Notts and Leyton Orient lose. A win would take them out of the drop zone and their faith would be in their own hands. I think they will beat Swindon, no matter what team Swindon put out. I hope I'm wrong....

Keep us updated @medievalmickey, you'll be our match respondance to this game.

I expect Swindon to field a strong squad, from what I have been told they want to get two injured players match fit and they see the remaining games important to do that. Fingers crossed no matter what team you guys field, it will be one which will outfox Colchester. I don't like wishing relegation on anyone but it is now vital for us in order to remain in this very division.

League One is where we need to remain and I'm hoping Swindon can beat them convincingly.

The thing is @Dripsey3 our manager is trying to mastermind play off success so our season is now away and home to Sheffield United or Chesterfield before possibly playing either of those or Preston/ MK Dons at Wembley.

It is possible that he played a very changed side at Preston to annoy Karl Robinson and perhaps hope to dump MK in the play offs to meet Chesterfield who have beaten them three times this season. Having said that he rested players who were not 100% fit, needed a day off and challenging unused squad members to impress. We must also consider injuries and red cards.Β We have played Saturday - Tuesday throughout April.

I cannot believe that we will not go into tonight's match with any negativity and must be looking to be impressive both in this match and against Leyton Orient. As I said in an earlier post we can leave your fate in your own hands ... I just hope we do not let you down.

I will try to post again around 18.00 to let you know team selection.

How does that sound? I have to say I know little of their playing staff... is that a strong line up?

Β

This was the team that played against Walsall so my guess is yeah pretty strong

Β

Town starting XI: Foderingham, Ricketts, Thompson N Β©, Turnbull, Byrne, Rodgers, Stephens, Gladwin, Kasim, Toffolo, Obika

Predictions for this are split... I think if Swindon score, they win... Once they get one they may go on to get two or three

If Colchester go one up early will they sit back, we saw what Swindon can do to you if you try that...

Could Colchester hold out for the 1-0? I doubt it.... Swindon to win 1-2 or if they really click... 1- lots

Sorry you beat me to it.

This is a strong line up with onlyΒ Louis Thompson, long term injury, missing. The bench too is strong.

Β

If we can't win with this team tonight then there is little point spending £15 on play off ticket and zero chance of another trip to Wembley.

(Joe...you may notice this is my 100th post which surely makes me member of the month [sounds rude] I have even outposted Sadlad).
