IMAX

Having recently experienced IMAX for the first time I was wondering how other people felt about it.

For me, it is definitely something to be experienced. We saw San Andreas, which in a normal cinema would have been a no because, lets face it, the rock is fronting the film! But in IMAX it was unbelievable! Sound great, 3D wow. It made a disaster movie really have some ooomphhh!

Thoughts and opinions?

@hissingdwarf What's wrong with the Rock? IT DOESN'T MATTER.

I like Dwayne Johnson, majority of the things he's done is enjoyable. He's a good action movie actor in my opinion, by far the best wrestler to move into Hollywood. I haven't seen many things in 3d or IMAX.

How much did it cost? I find the price of 3D movies to be too much money.

Ridiculously expensive i'll admit. I think it was £27 for two adults in the premier seats (why not it was the first imax viewing!)

He was actually ok in this movie. I just find it funny that he tries to take himself so seriously after all those years of fake slapping people!

Imax is an experience that will only suit certain movies. I think the Jurassic Park might be a good one to see in imax!

IMAX?? Never heard if it!

@tonyhateley Treat Mrs H to an afternoon out. They have an Imax at The Cornerhouse (Trinity Square to me and you!)

I would suggest something like I said such as the new Jurassic Park. Even if it's only a one off (which it is for most due to the cost!) its worth going just for the experience.

Around £24 for the both of you. Expensive I know, but it is something to do once just for the experience.

We only go to the cinema once in a blue moon due to the cost, but we'll probably go to the Imax from now on if the film suits it because it really is a step up.

Like I say the San Andreas disaster movie was a perfect vehicle for it because of the special effects. Imax just added that extra bit to it.

£12 each then? It's not too bad, I might give it a go.

I watched Interstellar in IMAX, and it really does add to the spectical.

With the sizes of TVs these days, you do need something extra, and IMAX certainly is that!

3D movies are quite cheap here, plus you can get goodies on good deals too. Seeing movies are a social thing, more so in the states and IMAX is very good.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
