Attendance/Fans?

Do you think the attendances at Meadow Lane will improve over this coming season?

If the result come, along with good displays and goals I can see it lifting again. The question is, if this does happen but the gates are still low, what will Notts do?

As I said in my welcome post, I haven't attended for a while, but I am getting rather excited by all the signings and activity behind the scenes. I am actually feeling that I want to go to games this season. I reckon that if the players perform, then the crowds will return.

I can see this season bringing an increase in bums on seats, not sure if we will get to the height of the munto season, but I think if we are playing well and pushing the top spot, then last seasons gates will be eclipsed

I can see the opening fixtures reaching 5-6k, if we start off well, then I can see us reaching higher numbers but not perhaps over 8k.

It would be great to reconnect with the fans who haven't been able to attend (for whatever reason), I know of regulars who attended two or three home games these past two seasons who are great loss. If we can tempt them back and learn to play football in the right manner, which I think Ricardo will do. Then they won't be easily lost like we have seen.

This season I am hoping to connect with friends and people I know who blindly follow Premiership teams, then tempt them to join me down at Meadow Lane.

One thing which really made me look forward to games is the people I met once I took PON more seriously, we have a great community and this will win people over but yes I see the attendances improving, they must.

Interested to see what the ticket prices will be. Can't see too many home and away fans paying £22/£24 for league 2 football however entertaining.

This season I will be focusing on away games so will have to pick and choose the home games because of the cost

I suspect the prices will remain north of £20 a game, With the players coming in, and the standard and style of play we will hopefully be watching, then you have to give the board this. It would be worth the price to watch us climb out of this division.

I think they could make it an even 20.00 it shows a little empathy with the fans, it also might tempt a few more, but importantly it still provides quite a bit of revenue

If we start off on a roll people will flock back, even at £24. I think more just say they won't but we all know winning attracts fans.

Attractive winning football will bring in more fans, let's hope that's what we see this coming season.

It's nice to see the other forum picking up on my discussion, they think we could get 10,000 how deluded. The only reason that happened under Munto is because fans jumped in when they thought we were richer than Man City. 8,000 would be pushing it.

I genuinely can't see the prices changing tbh. As others have said if we get a good start and the promise of flowing football comes to fruition, then gates will increase, but it may take a while. Remember last season we were flirting with top for a long period before the crash occurred.

Admittedly hopefully attacking football is the pull this season as we've all said, football is an entertainment game and we've been without it too long!! Of course being top or there abouts will help as well!

i think attendances will be higher from the start, its just a question if they remain high. i am sure @RayTrew and the club have thought of ways to maximise the way tat fans come through.

i just hope they use the permitted offers for the big games just to encourage more to come.

I think attendances will stagnate around the higher five thousand mark, at least for half of the season. When our outcome looks likely to be sealed, that is when fans will start flocking and if we are top of the league by the final few games I could see us easily attracting twice that.

We have to aim to improve this, its something which makes us look somewhat a shambles. There is no togetherness at Notts, so many fractions and divisions it is completely a joke.

Notts must get people back and focus on keeping them there.

I hope we average 6-7,000.

Well my bum is going to remain on a seat in the Kop.  I'll see if I can get my friend down a bit more, while he is a red-back, he also claims to be a supporter of "Nottingham", so comes down every now and again.  If we are winning and playing nice football it will be much easier to convince him!

I guess *touch wood* that the home record can't get too much worse when compared with last season?

6,000 to 7,000 is most likely very realistic. We can only hope for more, big games like Mansfield could take us to 9,000 maybe.
