Italian Magpies on Football League website

The Football League have featured the Italian Magpies on their website following Notts County's surge to the top of the Stand Up and Be Counted table.

Notts County have the largest support in any one country across the Stand Up & Be Counted representation map, thanks to some Italian friends.

The fanbase, known as the Italian Magpies, have already helped County rack up more than 6,000 submissions on the club leaderboard. More than half of those who have registered their support for the Meadow Lane outfit are based in Italy, and that is down to a strong, long-standing relationship with a certain European giant - Juventus.

It's great to see the IM get recognition for their role and contribution to the Notts fan scene. If we hold on to secure top place, it'll make national news. Would be absolutely fantastic for everyone at Meadow Lane :)

Well done to Italian Magpies! (I do feel credit should go to all tho).

Not just the italian based fans, it seems a shame to focus on just one but if this encourages the others to lead by their example it can only be a good thing I suppose.

The @Italian Magpies do a great job, as do all the international pages.

Very good.

The Italians fans add so much passion to Notts, its a shame they did not get across last season (possible blessing for them).

What they have done for us as a club, they deserve the credit.

Its always positive to hear about things like this, the Italian/Juve fans are apart of the clubs heart now.

We would not have the international pages without them being formed, no one else would be interested. It's a good story by the FL.

This is great news, if we remain top then more publicity yet... the club in the news for the right reasons. It can all only do good, will it attract a few more, who knows, but it will all help

The only way we will remain top is if we keep encouraging this, by getting overseas fans to post its only a good thing and I really hope we can. I am encouraging friends who live overseas to vote, as I am slowly converting folk.

What do we win?

always good to see the work done by the ims, they have done us proud and so do people like the irish and australian magpies!

We have just added another USA based fan

Shockingly @Seven_Pie hadn't registered...

I am hoping that the American Magpies will do more, as the facebook page seems to be a redistribution of the official page. I think American magpies could be far bigger than the italian branch if the right people ran it.

@AmericanPie congratulations... you appear to have talked yourself into a job.. ha ha ha

There's already an American Pie's, though I am sure you could join and help bring it to further spread the word of the magpies. ;)
