The First Five

Featured Replies

I mentioned to @Joe Jones when we recorded the PONcast which included the opening fixtures, all the games listed we should aim to win and that I could see it happening but the thing about football, it doesn't always work out like that.

A field where dreams become reality.

Steady now, we're not the only club in this division splashing the cash and aiming for promotion. And we've signed a lot of players who are unproven in this country, for all we know many could well struggle to settle and flop.

So, in the view of my now dampened expectations, I think we'll win six of the first five.

As things stand there is a good chance we will be able to repeat the last championship winning season, however in much more style. If we started off the new campaign by defeating all the opening games, this will have a massive effect on Notts and the community.

I think there is a good chance we could get over 100 points.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

We will probably draw at least two of the first five, provided we do not lose that would not be bad going at all.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

If we can beat Mansfield, it could be a good bet but I do think one of the four opening games we will end up losing. Not down to playing poorly, just a case of luck going against us.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
