Where is our captain?

I really hope notts announce the captain for the 15/16 season soon as i just wanna know.

Personnelly i hope it is Curtis Thompson! Outstanding on friday night as captain and a player. Biggest ovation i have heard in a pre season for one player

I'm not a fan of young players being handed the captaincy, I think they have to gather plenty of experience first. Maybe Swerts fits the bill? Otherwise, I can see Carroll getting it.

 

Who got the armband in pre-season?

Agree with Swerts as skipper but who ever it is i want him to get the team together and have a team hug and give an inspirational team talk...preferably just before kick off.....

Swerts or Jenner for me, Noble would make an ideal captain if he can keep calm.

I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned at the open day.

It needs to be an experienced player preferably in midfield. Surprised that it's not been announced yet.

Hopefully a player whose head doesn't drop when we concede a goal after 5 minutes, (last season we didnt seem to start playing sometimes until the other team had scored) or rather a captain who will make sure the team are raring to go at kickoff!

I haven't got a clue who I would prefer I've not been to any pre season games to see any of the new players but I agree that Thompson is too young to have the responsibility it could affect his game.

Thompson is not to young, 21 years old. he is only getting better and making him captain will make him wanna stay longer, look at gerrard for example.

Swerts is the standout candidate imo, experienced, ex international been there done it.

if a new guy gets captain i am going to be so mad! the likes of noble and carrol/thompson should get it. they are all brilliant players who any league 1 club could buy and would perform brilliantly. but they stuck by us.

I agree Curtis is a potentialy great prospect, but I don't think he should be burdened with being captain, let him focus on his own game.

Curtis would do better to focus on his game, that way he could secure first team football and be one for the future.

I don't think right now, he makes much sense to be named as captain. Who ever gets the armband will be required to start regularly, which I think even at this stage he may find to be a test. He's good enough though, that I agree with but will Moniz she it?

I would be surprised if Carroll didnt get the captains armband. He certainly has the experience and would probably have the respect of the other players. Then again he would definately need to keep a lid on his emotions.
