Morning all, I hope we aren't too down this morning, I know that yesterday's result spoilt my day, I felt really down in the dumps.

A cloudy day here but not the rain that had been forecast, that's coming tomorrow apparently.

We are nipping to ToysRus later to get a present for our Grandsons birthday, we've got some bits and bobs but need a main present.

Might do a bit of fishing today too I've got some maggots that need using before they turn to flies.

What's on your agenda today.

Normal british weather, not too bothered about yesterday, we are onto something good and it will take time to settle.

Its not even September and some fans have written us off already 😂

I echo Northants Pie's thoughts. Also it's a shame for Snijders that his great goal didn't eventually help us get a draw or win! Goals like these and the chances we created make me think that things will turn around, as long as Moniz can keep the player's confidence up.

Oh Dear. Another mis-guided tory reading as headline in the Daily Fail without checking whether it's true or not. Never seen that before have we?!!!

And just for clarity...it was a suggestion from a womens group that Jeremy said he has listened to when trying to get their views on equal rights. Far be it for me to say he actually listens to people!

Labour... the party of women's rights...

The right to walk 5 paces behind....

The right to specialise in housework and childcare...

The right to "special" transport arrangements...

The right to do as instructed by their husbands

Why don't they go the whole hog and remove the woman's right to vote, and also the woman's right to speak for herself... Back to the days when they were known as W/O (wife of) .... not even a proper person in their own right...

Yay... Vote Labour!!!!

And for the record! I care very much about abuse suffered by females, no matter which society they are in! The situation in India is one for India and the international community to get sorted, and quickly the whole thing is abhorrent.

Agreed.

And on the other thing the Labour Party were the first to introduce AWS All Women Short-listing. I know of good councillors who have 'lost' their seats and are happy with the outcome because we promote equality and fairness. In fact, in Ashfield (my constituency) we have just elected the first women leader of the district council.

All women shortlisting... The Rooney rule equivalent... you shouldnt need to exclude men... if the woman is good enough she will prevail...

Equality means equal on both sides... there is such a thing as discrimination against men!

Doesnt seem fair to exclude men from this process does it...

Depends on your aim doesn't it? If your aim is to finally rebalance the years of male dominated stuffy room politics (and that's on all parties) then it's a good idea. As I said a good friend of mine took it well when told he wasn't shortlisted because of aws and campaigned just as hard for the female candidates in an attempt to move politics into a fairer reflection of life. Labour are as big supporters of BAME as you can get.

Anyways this is all a bit heavy for a daily thread! Back to normality. Just been to pick up my daughter's new bike for her birthday. She has now moved to a ladies 14" frame rather than a girl's bike. It's Massive compared to her old one, but it surprisingly fits her well. My little girl is growing up (:
