Who would you pick?

Euro 2016 is coming up and I was curious as to everyone's opinions on who should play? I don't feel we know or best team and that doesn't give me hope since we keep chopping and changing, teams like Germany and Italy have been playing the same team for years.

Would you go for youth or experience?

The pressure will be off England.

I think Roy Hodgson is building wisely, he's trying people out but I would like him to settle things down leading up to the competition.

I would go with mostly established players, regardless of experience or youth. I think it would be wise to have some 'unknowns' amongst the ranks, so inexperience is certainly refreshing to see and I wouldn't rule off having experience either. Yet the squad should probably include those of good form from the their league team, with the strength being added from experience.

Personally I think it would be a disaster to reside from choosing players with experience, our young players go missing and much as been said about Gary Cahill but we would be mad to ignore what the likes of him offer. I wouldn't carry 'experience' but I would take those leaders, veterans which offer much of which would be lacking.

I'd have to think long and hard about the selection however.

This is England's best chance of winning the Euros since 2004. There's no clear favourite. Semi finals should be the least of England's ambitions.

I think this would be a good chance to give the younger players like kane, alli, rose, stones, give them all experience for the world cup

joe has said what i think, mix them but dont choose players based on playing for united, chelsea or arsenal.

It's hard to get a settled side with so few games, but that's not just a problem for England. I don't know about Italy, but Germany have lost Klose and Lahm and Schweinsteiger isn't what he used to be either. They have some talented players to replace them but they haven't yet really been moulded into a proper unit.

As for us, surely barring injury Jamie Vardy should be travelling? His confidence will be sky high. The obvious lineup would be Kane and Vardy up front with Rooney behind them, but would that really work? I can't see us winning it but I want to see us beat Russia and if possible Germany and Turkey. That'll make it a successful tournament in my book!

England need to believe. They have plenty of talent in their squad. The press need to get off their backs and the fans need to believe.

But we believe every time and it never works out, I agree we have talent, but is roy Hodgson the man to lead England to glory?

As with a lot of national teams, we are promising in some areas, and lacking a lot of quality (or depth) in others.

GK: Hart, Forster, Butland. Strong.

DR: Walker, Johnson, Clyne, Tripper Weak

CB: Cahill, Jagielka, Jones, Shawcross, Smalling, Stones. Weak

LB: Shaw (Injured), Baines, Gibbs, Bertrand, Rose Weak

RM: Walcott, Ox, Lennon, Townsend Mediocre

CM: Wilshire (Injured) , Barkley, Henderson, Shelvey, Alli, Dier, Delph, Lallana Strong

LM: Sterling, Young Mediocre (lacks depth)

ST: Rooney, Kane, Vardy, Sturridge (Perm injury) Strong

I think the defence will be our undoing, it's far too weak.  As it's so weak, I would be tempted to play Dier in the same role he does for Spurs, to try and protect those weak CB's. However, this woud obviously sacrifice a player from our 2 strongest positions, CM or ST.

I would maybe try this:

------Hart--------
-Clyne-Cahill-Smalling-Gibbs-
----------Dier/Henderson---------
---Walcott------Alli------Sterling---
------Kane----Vardy/Rooney------

There is an issue down the right as neither Clyne nor Walcott are particularly good defensively, so it could be an option to shove Milner out there against the teams who are strong down the left hand side. Those front 4 will score goals if allowed the tactical freedom, no doubt.

I hope Johnson doesn't make it as our featured RB, he's useless defending and offers little going forward.

We are blessed this year, quite a few English keepers have been performing well. Hopefully one of which can give Hart proper contest, as I think he secures his position a little too easily.

I'd go for

                Butland

Clyne   Stones  Jagielka   Baines

                  Dier

   Sterling     Alli       Barkley

            Kane    Vardy

My team would be

Butland

Clyne Cahill/smalling Stones Baines

Dier

Barkley Alli Walcott/Sterling (depending on which one barkley would be able to swap sides)

Kane/vardy Rooney (I think he has to play because he can create something out of nothing like vs derby)
