Colin's interview

Featured Replies

Colin asking what "we" fans are wondering? Don't make me laugh. He did it because he wanted to know! Simple as that.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Sir Slater : Great interview. Asked the right questions and wouldn't accept the BS
JF: Evasive, arrogant and condescending.

Col: 'Will we be seeing Stanley Aborah'
JF: laughs, 'in what way'    WELL WHAT WAY DO YOU THINK?!

Will he bow to pressure? I think not.

Good interview from Colin Slater. I do not care if he wanted to know for himself or for each and every Notts fan. It's just good to see a manager not being pampered and treated with respect that he hasn't earned. Leigh Curtis could take a page out of Colins book IMO.

when jamie said in what way, that was the point where he wanted out of the interview. what way did he think?

not a good time for him. i think after the singing, him falling over and now this its just reduced him to the point he seems like a child at school whos been caught out one too many times.

That was  genuinely embarrassing to listen to. If I were Colin I'd have lost my rag with him. Why not just answer the question instead of being so evasive? Even if we didn't agree with his reasons we'd then at least respect him for his honesty.

I'm not someone who attaches a lot of importance to interviews, but JF's attitude seems to be that they are a necessary evil. But interviews are a good way of building a rapport with the fans and earning some goodwill, and JF has made no effort whatsoever to do this. The fans are much less forgiving as a result. Martin Allen went out of his way to build up a positive relationship with the fans, and they cut him a lot more slack when things went wrong.

He goes wrong when he ends with "but".

Colin pushes, he does feed words into Jamie's mouth. There was no mentioning of training grounds, no implying but that may be because Colin knows more than he is letting on during that interview. Its a good interview but someone else could have gotten better answers from the manager. I cannot help but feel someone is making a mug of the other.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
