1: Not just the online jury.

2: Which Staff? The only ones that will give any credibility IMO are Steady Eddy and Pilks.

3: 20th Jan is 10 days, not 2 as stated by JF. Aborah already said he asked to leave after a couple of games because the manager isolated him and made it clear he wouldn't be starting.

4: Aborah is a good player, probably our player of the season so far. You don't go from that to training with the youth team.

5: It happened because of more than that reason. For one, his tactics are negative and boring, to say the least. His interviews are terrible, he is disrespectful, arrogant and condescending. He has a reputation (you say it's rumours) of bad relations with previous players he has 'coached', and within a few weeks he has done exactly that with a player at Notts.

20th Jan was the written response according to the statement ...JF said Stanley told him in person after two days

Naturally you are going to believe JF as you have some kind of personal affiliation with him or his friends, or his cat...

However, you should understand that fans won't believe a word JF has to say. He wasn't wanted in the beginning, he's made that worse ever since through his actions and words.

I have no problem with you but you asked me why he is vile and I've answered but I've continuity asked why Stanley was on the bench twice after allegedly asking to leave 2 days in ?

Exactly the point I made above ;o) some fans wouldn't believe him regardless

Why believe the manager when its much easier not to? Why believe a guy who says a players loyalty should be to the club and assume that he is just telling lies?

Because everything he says is arrogant, cliché ridden, mind-numbingly boring drivel? Plus, he's changing his story, and it doesn't make sense. Will only play for Moniz = played for other managers besides Moniz.

The other side is a fairly well respected player who has towed the same line, he wants to play, the manager doesn't like him.

That is why.

I came on here as it is a very balanced forum but there has even been a disproportionate reaction about this issue towards JF.

I will still attend ML on Saturday to see the Bristol Rovers games on Saturday but my time on the forum may be coming to an end (good some will say !! ;o) )

I'm a pretty positive person but the backlash and name calling against a young manager ( and not all of it justified ) has been quite uncomfortable to see..to be called Vile, a Moron, Horrible, a Liar, Nasty when he is trying to move a club forward as a young manager isn't nice to read.

I wholeheartedly disagree that Aborah is not at fault here but respect that people make up their own minds about it all.

Not a great week for Notts but I would request that folk reading this consider why a new manager would exclude a player he sees as, and I quote  'Quality with Ability' ....Please...if nothing else...have a think about that .........

You have offered a different view on things, there's nothing wrong with that.

I believe JF always had a tough time winning over the majority, some like me are inclined to see how he goes. I'm not against him in any manner, I just don't find him very likeable - he had the chance to be clear, he should have been.

How many members have called him these names? I only have seen a handful based on opinions.

Your entitled to your view, you make this clear and I'm sure people respect it. Does anyone want you to leave? I don't think but it's your choice if you do. It would nice to think your not just Jamie Fullarton but also Notts. Yet I would understand if this wasn't the case, yet just to mention I find the majority of posts by you to be interesting. As SDA says, 10 days and not 2. There is chance Aborah may be somewhat in the wrong, but JF isn't winning awards for his media handling. I hope he can finally can win at home but I fear, it may not happen until he tries to connect with fans. The club could help!

I apologise for calling him vile, this club is a mess and he really ticked me off, many will know me to be optimistic but Stanley's interview pushed me over the edge.

I for one don't want @newnottsfan to leave as he offers a different opinion on things and I feel many value his opinion even if they don't agree with it

Also don't want @NewNottsFan to leave, however I feel you may as soon as JF is relieved of his duties. It seems to me you are a JF fan, and only a Notts fan whilst JF remains at the club. Am I right?

@Super_Danny_Allsopp    @notts-joe I'm not just interested in JF and the more I know and learn about Notts , the more I see what a great club it is ...but the whole surroundings of this appointment and reactions , particularly around this issue, are quite depressing. I look forward to Saturday but feel that the manager may need a suit of armour on and that can't be good.

Its just really a huge feeling of sadness today and I genuinely feel that Aborah has let him down and now , bizarrely, is coming out smelling of roses...but thats the way things have gone for JF.

I've never defended performances and have stated he would benefit from media guidance but he's had a hell of a lot to deal with, some of which he is dong for the first time (media), in a very short space of time at Notts...much more than most managers get in much longer careers.

So to answer your question..will I still follow Notts? definitely ...but will I be gutted if this all ends without both sides progressing and getting some positivity from it?  absolutely

I agree that he walked into a complete nightmare for a first manager. That was out of his control.

Good to see you will still follow Notts after JF. Unfortunately, the only way I can see this situation improving is by NCFC and JF parting ways.

Notts is in your blood, not something you learn about, that's why Danny A shows passion and cares about what's going on at our great club!

@wacky so you can learn nothing about a club and only get what's in your blood ? Yeah thanks for that .. Helpful

Where has your sudden interest in Notts come from? Forest or stags fan looking to stir things up

You're forgetting that the orchestrator in most of this GB needs to do one also

I will tell you what I find depressing. I’m depressed that this great club of ours has been torn apart in just a few weeks by fans, players, management and owners, all because of the appointment of a man that should not have been given the job in the first place. I had nothing against JF personally when he joined, but he has been given no public support by anyone at the club (until recently), has not covered himself in glory with the putrid football we are now playing and has not been able to handle the media in any way.

With Stanley  having his say, all anti JF supporters now have a heightened grievance against him and he has no way back from this, his time is effectively over. Without the fans, the club dies, it is in everyone’s interest that the club is sold as soon as possible so we can move on.

What a sad, sad story this is.  It has more mystery than an Agatha Christie thriller and even a judge and jury would struggle to return any sort of majority verdict.  It all boils down to who said what at what specific time, and we'll never know for sure.  What we do know is that it has been badly handled by all parties.  The worst thing is that Fullarton, Aborah, the club and most importantly the fans all end up as losers.

Another day in the life of a Notts fan!

How can it ever get this bad, most fans hate the manager and the best player hasn't played, the owners are selling up and guy branston could be influencing JF in my opinion, what we do know is that the club is in a right state

Wonder what the spirits like on the training field? Must be a fun place to be at the moment.

There is no way back for JF, whether you support him or don't, I can't see a scenario that he would win the fans onside. Even a run on 5 wins in a row would be a staller, as soon as the form dipped fans would voice their displeasure.

I think pretty much everyone can see this, apart from the arrogant people at the top who refuse to accept any kind of responsibility what-so-ever and will deflect blame to anyone but themselves. We will continue down this path until the people at the top finally bend, or get out of the club.

Posted

Fullarton is in the wrong place at the wrong time.  Even a combination of Sirrel, Warnock, and Allardyce at their best would struggle to get out of this hole, so with respect Jamie you don't have a cat in hells chance.  It's not a pleasant sight seeing someone ridiculed in front of thousands of people, but the 3 home games have been so dire it's both understandable and inevitable.  This can only get worse, so for his own sake Fullarton should resign.  His life can't be very pleasant at the moment, so he should put this fiasco down to experience and move on to his next challenge.  He's made a decent career in the game since injury ended his playing days, so he must have some qualities.  Unfortunately for us, being a manager isn't one of them.

Posted

I fear that we are going to get a pasting from Bristol Rovers and its just going to boil over. It needs the egos at the top to step back, realise that in league two the primary income is the fans and to realise we are leaving in droves. This is no longer a Stanley v Fullarton battle, its fans v board battle with these two being the pawns

Posted

I think that Sirrel, Warnock and Allardyce wouldn't have got into this mess in the first place, but if they had, they would have told us how it is a damn site quicker.
