Sad news has recently broke that Johan Cruyff's sadly passed a way. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35892775

A true legend of football.

Legend and the first footballer I remember from the 1974 World Cup. Showed his brilliance not just as a player, but also as a coach and would be priceless today.

Cruyff was a football visionary, both in his playing & coaching style.

I was an impresionable 12 year old, football daft when the 1974 World Cup was played in Germany, & remember to ths day how blown away I was watching Holland's games. I never imagined the game could be played this way, with such imagination & flair, Cruyff was the catalyst for this style. People rightly say that the 74 Holland side was the best team never to win the World Cup.

Johan Cruyff was a TRUE football great & will be sadly missed.

I have to disagree on two points. Firstly, they were too arrogant to win tournaments, a sign of mental weakness when it mattered and secondly I'd put them second to Hungary 1954, who lost the final due to an injury to Puskas.
