Provisional England Squad

Whilst most of the squad picked itself, I have some concerns.

Backup CB's in Dier and Stones is frightening, with a couple of injuries to Smalling and/or Cahill, that is our starting CB pairing. Even Smalling and Cahill is weak, I'm not sure why Jagielka hasn't been picked.

I have no idea what Wilshire and Delph have done to warrant selection. Surely we had other options.

Picking Rashford is a cop out, he's not ready and we haven't seen enough from him.

You've summed up very well there @Super_Danny_Allsopp

Rashford reminds me of Michael Owen. If Rashford goes, he could explode onto the international scene. I'd take a chance on personally. There's no clear favourite for the Euros and not many teams have a Rashford to unleash.

think Rashford has been picked in order to give him some experience, with a view to him maybe making the World Cup squad in a couple of years, as for the centre halves it is pretty frightening to see what we have available. Wilshire was always going to go if fit as Roy loves him and I think the injury to Welbeck has nailed on Milner going.

Delph will be dropped from the final cut I would think and Henderson will probably be picked over Drinkwater?

I can see Roy going back to the same old faces, rather than taking most of the form players of the season.

I'm so glad Walcott isn't going but I wouldn't take Wiltshire, sterling or delph personally, none of them have done enough to get a place in the national team.

I do like rashford but I think it might be too early, he is someone that can make a big impact, he is winning games at man united rather than scoring the 4th goal in a 4-0 thrashing, he is the one making it happen and he's worth a spot, but then we could set him up to fail like Walcott, just leave him in the u21s and let the lad develop like the other big nations do with their wonderkids

Looks pretty decent, people are worried about the depth but we have some hidden talent there - for example I'm pleased for Drinkwater but I do think there's some players we could have risked taking.

Henderson. Delph & Wilshire?? Roy's having a laugh surely? Also I'd have taken Defoe instead of Sturridge.

I'm quite happy with Sturridge in the side at the expense of Defoe, the thing that does worry me though is that quite a few of them have been injured and haven't played that much football. Wilshere, Delph, Henderson, Rooney and Sturridge are all physically fragile, so can't all be risked, surely?

Henderson and Delph are bizarre decisions to take to the Euro's.

Sturridge is a good option because he can double up on the wing, whereas Defoe is b****y useless unless upfront.

It's a shame about Welbeck, he always saves his best football for the England team, unlike many others. Our selection of CBs is frightening, it's hard to believe that's the best we can do. It's well known that we have a soft underbelly, and the opposition will try to exploit it.
