Adam Collin agrees terms!

BbcRNS are reporting that goalkeeper Adam Collin (formerly of Rotherham) has agreed terms with Notts and is expected to have a medical today (13th June)

The 31 year old played over 70 games for Rotherham and over 130 games for Carlisle. He also won the play-offs with Rotherham!

Happy with this. @BradtheMiller rates him very highly. He is better than Loach IMO.

Loach is a good shot stopper, but I'm not a fan of his overall game and he is prone to dropping a howler or two. If Collin is a decent shot stopper, but can dominate his box, then he will do for me.

At 6ft 5, hopefully a goalie that can command his area. Has been playing leagues above us so hopefully a good signing. Also replaced Loach at Rotherham it seems

He could easily sign for a top league 1 team so its a very good signing! He's set to have a medical today so should be completed soon

Take it from me, Adam is a top top signing for Notts. Commanding, big lad, his record for us at saving penalties was superb. Not perfect, but even Joe Hart is that but certainly n L2. Really nice fella too, a definite win win for Notts, now get some decent CB's.

Looks a good solid signing on paper, better than the Carroll of last season, two deceny goalkeepers will create a nice bit of competition. He's won promotion with Rotherham, played in the championship. Good start to rebuilding that "defence".

I think Collin's would be the type of keeper whom would seal the first team position, so it may see the best from Loach (or he may find himself on the bench again).

Having two decent keepers is better than relying on one and Notts always get it right with regards to goalkeepers, so that's promising - I just wished we was able to recruit signings in other areas which had the presence that our keepers tend to have. After Bartoz left, I wasn't sure we would replace him adequately but we did.

Carroll was a good servant for the club during his short stay, but its time to look for the future.

Hopefully he has signed.
