Anyone heard any rumours about potential signings since we are crying out for a striker and centre back but Notts seemed to remain about as active as a turned off TV

Only rumours I am hearing are Tootle off to Scunthorpe. Can’t see it happening to be honest.

I heard the Tootle rumour, 200k for him? It seems a bit steep for me and I'm sure.

If the bids genuine we should find a fast right back and replace him, he's a good player and his character helps the dressing room but technically I feel that if we are to improve he's a position we can afford to adventure in.

That said, it's mostly likely untrue.

I heard that a Championship striker is supposedly set to sign next Wednesday. I was told he was a good calibre player, which would take the PB name that is floating around.

That's the other rumour which I can't really see happening.

I heard names suggested of players who have rejected moving to Meadow Lane, but I stress I take rumours with a pinch of salt.

i heard people saying that we was going in for a left sided defender.

also heard rumours that we are looking at another player on loan. i did not hear anything about a striker but we need a cb and someone up top. we are complicating things if we look elsewhere.

If a CB and ST aren't recruited by deadline day, I can see the wheel falling off the barrow. Normally it happens around November/December time but we've managed to avert it until now.

The chasing pack is edging closer with each game, and before the end of the month a lot of games in hand will be played... there's the risk we may well be out of the top three come the start of Feb

But yeah, gotta remain calm...

I agree. Hewitt has been ever-present in CM and we missed him on Saturday. He's OK as cover for CB, but really we should have a 3rd CB, only takes suspension/injury to Brisley and Duffy and we've got Steady Eddy back in again. 

Really need a CB and a pacey striker. 

Think  Nolan will allow Forte to leave, to free up the budget. Centre Back and quick striker on the wish list
