Even better then. Ross Fitz is a solid keeper who, apart from the rush of blood to the head, was playing really well. We need a keeper with better distribution to play better football. Even more if KN wants us building from the back.

Bird, well they must see something so fair play. I don't know enough to pass judgement. Trust the management team (then again they did offer Duffers a new contract !!)

Michael O'Connor is now the real key signature to get. However, I would expect that he will not be short of offers elsewhere...Blackpool were very keen when he signed for Notts

He will be our superstar defender in 12 months time, for me at Dunkirk he made too many silly fouls but hopefully has cleared that up, otherwise its just game time now, looking forward to him taking his opportunities this year

For me the essential signing of the summer was Ross Fitzsimmons, wouldn't be surprised if that deal has clauses to be extended at Notts wish

In his interview he said he was looking forward to being number one and battling with Bran so assume he’s been told we’re not looking elsewhere. Good news as he looked a good keeper imo. Keep the transfers to slots that need them!

So Bird announced he has "singed" a new deal with the Magpies. In a tweet

Hopefully Bird will be able to feature, yet if he doesn't the extension will seem pretty pointless. I'm glad Fitzsimons has, he'll be our number one now.

its great to have ross fitzsimons nailed down, i would have given him a five year deal tbh and built the team straight around making him our no1. i do feel he needs back up but at his age he will only get better and experience will do that.
