Just watching Notts TV Team Talk programme and Neal Bishop is a guest talking about how he came to join Mansfield, Charlie McParland asked him if he would’ve come back to Notts, he hesitated before answering “without wishing to upset anybody, no I wouldn’t want to go back” he went on to explain he had a great time at Notts and it was good to leave with happy memories if he’d come back things may not have been the same.

I can sort of understand that, what do others think.

Him and Dean Leacock both have interesting things to say about the club and some of the fans.

It's best he didn't come back for both parties.

Ha ha yes it definitely worked out for Big Tony Hateley I’ll never ever forget his first game back for Notts.

I always liked Neal Bishop, he used to be great with Jake when he was younger and would always say hello to us. However, nearing the end of his time with Notts he seemed to have changed and I noticed comments on Facebook in which he was arguing with fans. People at the time seemed to be blaming him unfairly and when he wanted to leave, I feel this may have prompted negative comments towards him.

There's no need for him here at his age, I'm sure he's a good player but we are better focusing on passing the ball.

I don't feel he would do much but moan in this Notts squad, the only quality I would take is his leadership style.

Neal Bishop a few years ago would have been a great player to re-sign but at 37 I would question if he would have the same drive, it's easier going to Mansfield because he would be playing in a team which needs an experienced head.
