Not the type of thing you read about every day, especially such an incident on the coast of Ireland.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I have seen a few sightings of sharks off the coast of Lincolnshire, however it's not something you would imagine to read about. I know there was some attacks mind in Cornwall and that it had people freaking out as if they were in the film jaws.

A field where dreams become reality.

I've heard about news like that in Cornwall and overseas but not Ireland before. Things like this probably did happen as much before, its just that we hear about it much quicker and easier over the internet and social media nowadays.

I don't swim in the sea so I think I will be fine but this would be a scary thing to deal with, supposedly keeping still is the best thing to do.

If you can keep your eye sight on the shark.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

Holy ****.... I would hate this to happen too, nasty creatures sharks. Ugly things too.

I also hope the guy caught up in the incident is okay.

They can do a lot of damage very easily, so it's scary to think how bad it could be.

Hang on a minute everyone, if you read the article the man was fishing and had caught the shark and was trying to land it on his boat, I'd have bitten him too. It's not a shark attack as such on someone swimming in the sea, the shark was fighting for its life.
