Did anyone see Martin Allen being interviewed on Notts TV’s Team Talk this week, he was very entertaining and talked about his career including his time as Notts manager.

I thought he was great and another manager who was sacked too early.

I spoke to Martin Allen the first time we encountered him after his sacking, he had a lot to say and much of which I can't repeat (yet I wouldn't either because that's not me). He was a decent manager, his antics often distracted fans from the results but he made Meadow Lane one.

He was just fantastic.

I have not seen the interview but I will keep an eye out.

He was a good and funny manager, Notts always seemed to be in good hands with him.

Hes always been a friendly approachable manager that everyone loved, so it was a shame when he went.

Yeah the Mad Dog spell was one of the best that I remember, it might not be based on performance but we had a manager that lifted things when it was needed.

He seemed a character and a lively person, he must have been a real hoot in the dressing room with the players but something tells me from his playing days that you wouldn't want to make him mad.
