Match ratings vs Oldham

Ross 2 - I've tried to be patient with him and whilst he has improved over the season, these last few games have showed why we need a new keeper. He just can't command his area

Tootle 3 - Did ok in the first half. Did what he had to do at right wing back before being subbed off after picking another injury

Brisley 4 - Decent first half. Again did the basics and defended well in the opening 45. Game was over once the second went in

Duffy 5 - Notts' best player. Tried to go forward with the ball at some points. 

Bird 4 - Got a good eye for a pass and is our only quick centre back. Will continue to learn, the more games he gets

Evina 4 - He's ok in the wing back role as he can use his pace to help support the attack. No idea if the first goal is his fault

Milsom 1 - Get rid. No clue. Clown. Useless. Walking yellow card. Doesn't impact the game in any way

Vaughan 2 - Not cut out for League Two. He doesn't have the time on the ball that he is used to and isn't a threat physically to the opposition

Kellett 4 - Did what he could

Dennis 3 - I like him but when we did have the ball he made no runs in behind. Then in the second half he really couldn't do much as the game was over by the55th minute

Stead 3 - Showing his age. Poor old carthorse

 

Subs

Oxlade-Chamberlain 0 - Not League 2 standard. Took a throwing in the second half that went out of play

Thomas 3 - Takes too many touches when he's on the ball. Couldn't really impact the game when it was already finished

Etete 2 - Game was over by the time he came on

 

Ardley - Can't really give a rating to him as he's working with absolute dross and he looks dejected

Did you go @Elite_pie or @Piethagoram? I dodn't even listen to the game today due to being away from my home but I am keen to see additional ratings.

Whilst ever we play Fitz, Duffy, Brisley & Vaughan we are at a 4 man disadvantage.

The long ball from the keeper to Stead just doesn’t work, he hardly ever wins a ball which leads to the opposition launching an attack. Dennis is a centre forward but finds himself running onto balls away from goal. I know we are plagued by injuries but 3 managers and nothing changes........

Sorry to read of your family member health crisis  @Piethagoram and I wish that person all the best.Just post if/when you feel able to.Your  ratings and opinions are always appreciated and respected .It is good ,though ,to get a broad set of views as this helps me(and other members) get a better idea of player performances..

It seems the score matched the player ratings Some players had a off day. The comments from memebera about the game is making feel some didn’t pull there weight.

Here's the view from my armchair in Germany.

Fitz 3 - Always a bag of nerves when it comes to crosses. Often doesn't come for the ball when he should, when he does attempt a punch it invariably stays in the penalty area. The second goal was a complete joke. Blameless for the first goal though, that was a fluke that no-one would have saved.

Tootle 5 - Defensively fine, but little to no impact in their half of the pitch.

Brisley 4 - Missed the header for the second goal that killed us off.

Duffy 5

Bird 5 - Impressed at how well he's slotted in. Had a header cleared off the line at 0-0.

Evina 3 - Had a torrid afternoon. Should have had a better go at blocking the cross for their first.

Milsom 3 - Plenty of running, little effect.

Vaughan 3

Kellett 4 - The one player who gives us a little bit of unpredictability, but little chance to shine.

Dennis 3 - Got himself into the game more against Bury - yesterday he was quiet once again. You always know when Hemmings is on the pitch; Dennis just disappears.

Stead 4 - Not one of his better days but always puts in a shift.

 

Subs

Oxlade-Chamberlain 1 - Hit the side netting with such conviction that Charlie Slater announced that he'd scored. Other than that, rubbish and his two yellows were ridiculous. Won't play for us again.

Thomas and Etete - No rating as we were done and dusted by then.
