Thoughts on Ryan Schofield debut.

Featured Replies

So Ryan Schofield made his Notts County debut on Saturday against Cambridge the Huddersfield goalkeeper is on loan with Notts till the end of the season.

unfortunaltly Notts lost 1-0 to Cambridge to a dipping effort that went over the jumping goalkeeper.

Thoughts on Schofield’s debut ?

He didn't have a lot to do but he looked sound and confident. He made a good save, claimed a couple of crosses without difficulty and punched one cross away well (it is unreal how many time the ball landed in the penalty area when Fitzsimons tried to punch it away). Should maybe have distributed the ball to feet a bit more as we were constantly getting beaten to the ball from the long kicks. Couldn't do anything about the goal. He looked assured. Hopefully he can notch up a few clean sheets.

He looks capable of improving and growing into the role, it would be nice if he can keep pushing the defence too.

A field where dreams become reality.

Nice to see the keeper interacting with the defence. Unfortunately Saturdays team performance has put the coffin lid on, it only needs a few nails now and it’s curtains for our famous old club.

This is one great escape that is beyond us I’m afraid. ????

he looked decent, some of his saves i do feel fitzsimons would have struggled and yes there was not that many overall but the pressure which comes back from ross's poor distribution means we controlled the game a bit better in this department.

He looked good I have great hopes for him while he is with us. He command his area and defence well he made a couple of good saves. For he is looking good and I think the answer to our problems I know I’m going off his debut but still.

I thought he did well on his debut, he looked confident and communicated well. I can't be the only fan disappointed that he didn't start in the last game, he should have been given it because otherwise we have no idea if he can improve further because he won't have the time or chance.

He should be the first name on the team sheet.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!
