Has the state of the two clubs relegated from League Two ever been worse?

Notts and Yeovil are both in a right state. Looking for new owners, both clubs on a downward slide. Financial issues at Notts. Yeovil haven't got a manager.

Orient and Hartlepool were in quite a bad state as well.Β

Which clubs were in the worst state when they have been relegated from League Two (Since 2 relegations were introduced from 2002-03 onwards).

This being about the clubs situation when they went down and not the situation the club was in 5 years later

It will only get worse with the lack of funding and the amount of wages players want to be paid. No club will refuse to pay it, so it will just increase. I hate to say it, Notts got what they deserved.

Macclesfield will most likely struggle next season, it’s hard to see how they’ve won’t but no surpriseΒ that financial issues impact teams. It’s always been the case for Notts.

Clubs relegated from the football league are usually in a mess of some description. The fact that they find themselves in such a dire situation is normally as a result of underfunding, poor management orΒ something of that ilk. AllΒ of the 3 clubs vying for the Β 2 relegation spots this/lastΒ season Macclesfield, Notts & Yeovil found themselves in just such circumstances.
