Game 23 - The Wood (H)

Team: Boreham Wood

Date: 26/11/19

Where: Meadow Lane

What line-up should Neal Ardley opt for? What will be the key areas for the Magpies to get a victory? What do you think the final score will be?

Rose is suspended so he has no choice but to bring Booty into the middle and put Ozzy on the wing. If this happens and we win, then surely it should click that Rose and Doyle doesn't work

I would opt for this lineup myself.

                        Slocombe

Kelly-Evans Rawlinson Lacey Bakayogo

Shields       Booty    Doyle      Osborne

                   Wootton Dennis

It's somewhat harsh on Wes Thomas, who I feel has been one of our better players in recent weeks, but I think he needs a rest. I don't feel Enzio should be anywhere near the starting line-up, he can't work out of this poor form.

Momentum has played a big part in the better results which Notts has had, it's time for Neal Ardley to seek form and effort.

Over whatever he feels is the best player, reputation and ability isn't everything when they're not performing well. At this stage, to help the defence, Notts needs to bring in players who will work hard to remain in their shirt. Certain people are guaranteed a start, no matter what and that is just wrong.

i would try lacey and turner, but i do think it depends on if hes a 100% fit.

i hope ardley makes some sensible changes and not the whole squad. i think some is needed, just not too many.

If Notts plays with the right approach, we should do well. These sloppy goals do need to be addressed, its one of the biggest causes of dropping points.

I hope Ardley sends out a team which is wanting to win and will work hard to try to see it out.

I'm fearing the worst now, I think with the recent press conference if we lose more will want to see a change.

The only changes that are required at this point, is by Neal Ardley himself. Certain players need to sit this game out, those that have been woeful consistently and haven't deserved to start games.

We all know what Enzio can bring but we all know his performances have been below par And needs a rest along with Rose.

I worry about the ease in which we are getting carved open and the midfield are losing the ball far too easily.
I don’t know how close Lacy is but would put him in the back 4 if available.

Wootton is a given for me and if Dennis had taken those 3 & 4 yard chances he missed in his last 2 starts he would still be in the team.

I think we’ll struggle again but hope I’m wrong. Can’t see us winning. 😞

So close, I wasn't able to make it due to health reasons but I followed the game closely.

I think most will be in acceptance about the result, perhaps a little disappointed about the late goal - yet it sounded better. Defensively, something needs to be done to counter the goals which are leaked. This game could probably come down to switching off in the final minutes mind.
