Help Our Moderation Team by Reporting Issues
Since we have re-gone live again, I have noticed that the moods' app was throwing theme errors. I have disabled it. Please note the lightweight theme is undergoing some changes which will be apparent, but I am hoping to have this resolved within the next few days. If you notice something which hasn't been mentioned, please mention it here.

Downtime and MaintenanceΒ Update
Just to mention, I am aware something is throwing an error within the themes. I'm hoping to get to the bottom of why the avatars won't show in topics. The issue is caused by a bug in the moods feature. I forgot to say thank you to Richard, Terabyte and my dad! All three have been a huge support.

Downtime and MaintenanceΒ Update
It's not without saying that I care passionately about the Pride of Nottingham and Notts County. Our recent downtime had been caused by a cyberattack, where hacker(s) caused significant damage to our site. This attack is unjustified and the people responsible cannot validate their actions. Football is about unity, whilst rivalry is a natural part of the game. To resort to this type of behaviour is very cowardly and in the long run what did it achieve? No amount of excuses can humanly explain this behaviour. At this stage, I can't go into the full details, but there will be a point where I will provide a further update. I fully believe in transparency and accountability, I hold my hands up and say that I should have done better, and I can honestly say I will learn from this in the future. I will ensure that the best practices are used to avoid such a pathetic attack. I can say, without a doubt, that only damage was conflicted. No data was accessed. Passwords are encrypted within the database and nothing was retrieved. I have made sure to check this, along with a friend who is a very knowledgable person within this field. We could have been back somewhat sooner, although I did take the time to move hosts. You should notice the benefit of us running a dedicated server, with a lot more resources behind us. I wanted to ensure that we thoroughly inspected every area of the site, considering the extensive number of files. It is important to dedicate sufficient time to this task. The worst scenario would be to neglect corners and wish for the best. Further security is being used and whilst I politely ask that we focus on the positives, not the issue I outlined in the start. I do share your frustration about the downtime. I sincerely hope if you read this you will get behind the Pride of Nottingham, and we can firmly pick up from where we were previously. COYP! All the best. Chris

Welcome back PoN
I am hoping to go live properly later today, but team members can access the site. I'm delighted to be back, I have a fair bit to do still, but it seems we are finally on the home stretch. I'm very thankful for the help I have received. I haven't given my dad (@super_ram) the credit he deserves. He's wanted PON back, probably the most out of all, but I am very lucky to have his support. I have mentioned how knowing that my mum wouldn't want me to give up, is what made me all the more determined, but that's only matched by the eagerness and support of my dad. Thank you to Super, Richard and Terabyte.

Swindon Town were "days away from entering administration"
It doesn't sound good, if he's had to sell shares to pay this bill - what's future payments not resorting to needing further assets sold? I don't know, it does seem like he might not have the cash flow to keep the club secure no matter how good his intentions are. Good luck to them, they're doing well despite this.

Scouting Dossier : Colchester v Notts
I can't comment, as I wasn't in attendance but Joe Taylor and Arthur Read were the two players that were most mentioned a lot positively from Dave and Stall.

Highlights : Colchester v Notts
The decision-making is what started the disappointment. I defend the passing back at times, yet here's the valid concern about doing it without making space or awareness of trying to go forward. It's just incredibly poor, defensively.

MAGnet Links - Swindon Town
There are even more people! Kieron Freeman is a good name I can add to this list of growing connections.

Where does Randall fit into the team?
I think the reason why we haven't seen much of him since he returned from injury, is the fact Luke Williams doesn't know where to play him exactly, and even I think it's a stretch for me to make any suggestions. I don't really like Adam Chicksen as a CB; I think he can do well, but it's mostly unflattering. He's better out left, which leaves the question of where does Will Randall come into it? Jodi Jones is blessed that he can play both sides. We will simply have to wait until Randall is fully fit and ready to be given a chance. I can't see him playing where David McGoldrick does, although it's a possibility. I do recall hearing he can play up front, but I can vouch for it. It's a dilemma for Luke Williams.

Where are they now : Adam Campbell
I really liked Adam Campbell, but there was a point where he gave up for us and that was because he knew about his release. I vividly recall the topic I had written about. highlighting his lack of togetherness. I'm glad he's still doing well, I heard it mentioned on the radio by David Jackson.

Concerns over fan behaviour at Colchester
I've asked various friends about this, 100% more them than anything. After the game, some of their supporters were trying to wind up some of our fans and targetting a certain coach. Running off when they were approached, as for the keeper. He started it I am told, by trying to wind up our fans, I haven't found anyone able to shed any light on this supposed push of their player. Yet I have seen a video of a group of young Colchester fans throwing objects at one of our coaches. Our fans don't usually start anything, so the story is a bit silly and biased in the headline title.

Left Lion on Notts
Poor Colin, it's just bad timing, but it's a great write-up. I am confident that they are capable of bringing further wins, so Colin Sisson can round those up. If after that, we lose. We know it's a Left Lion and Colin Sisson curse!
-
Where are they now : Jimmy Spencer
Jimmy Spencer had the potential to be a good League One or Two striker. I do think his time here, he had too much unrealistic pressure put on his shoulders, but he was a good finisher. I had completely forgotten about him. it's good that he's playing at a decent level. I know he had further injury issues after us, so considering he's still playing it's a good thing.

Beware of missing drain covers
There was no end missing when I used to walk around Wollaton with my brother and @super_pie. I also encountered areas where manholes had been smashed in or had crumbled away. Actually, I walked from Highfields to Wollaton with Jake. Along the way, we encountered some individuals vandalising the land to access cables. Many people walked by without saying anything, but I was the only one who had the courage to confront them and ask them to leave. The council put up two cones around it, with orange tape and a different time a blind person almost walked into it because someone had removed the tape. The covers are dangerous though, especially in certain areas where weird people try to throw their rubbish into them. Not only is there danger of walking into them and falling, but also the damage it can do to cars and the local infrastructure.

Time to reflect on what Luke Williams has achieved so far
Luke Williams is everything you would want from a manager. His openness in interviews is great to watch or listen to too. The details in which he calmly replies make it difficult to think that he may have b**locked the players after the Forest Green Rovers game. You just can't see him being that annoyed. He's what I refer to as the 'Bob Ross' of football. If only he had the hair, I could fully imagine him calmly instructing the players articulately how he wants our tactics to be played out. Whilst calmly saying 'there's no bad accidents, just happy mistakes'. In all seriousness, there isn't a day I'm not thankful for what he's done. People are saying that the media team is behind this fan connection, which I disagree with. Luke Williams seems to be the person who truly cares. I just get the feeling he treats everyone he meets the same. Such as his respectful approach after today's game against Colchester United. It was mentioned on the radio that he shook the hands of the officials, smiled and walked off without a fuss. While there's much for him to learn, we do need to acknowledge that he's already built Rome in one season. Yet, it wasn't a day, but that is still an amazing feat. He's now trying to build the Great Walls of Meadow Lane. Reflect and appreciate just how far we have come, whilst I take my medication.

Notts v Preston 21 Dec 1987 Main stand boiler room smoking (twitter memories from Geoff Pike's daughter)
Oh wow, this is incredible. I can imagine my own children at the age of the girl in the picture doing exactly the same, unknowingly acknowledging the risk of the fire or what was going on. Something like this should be put in a book. It's amazing, this is one of the better aspects of social media.

Scunthorpe Utd worrying times
Their fans were **obs last season with us, but I wouldn't wish this on them. I would hope that they think more carefully about what chants they sing, especially considering we were one of the best teams last season in the National League. Meanwhile, they were one of the worst, if this is a glimpse as to what their owner may have tolerated then it's like shooting your foot or cutting your nose off to spite your face. Something their fans may want to suggest, but I do wish them well. Not having their ground and relying on someone else is awful.

The Magpie redemption , e book by Paul Mace
I hold Paul Mace in very high regard. He kindly gave me a copy of the Magpies Nest - I should find it and offer @super_ram a chance to read it. This is something I will look at eventually, as I am sure it will be a good read.

Weekend Plans - Friday 29th Sept - Sunday 1st Oct
I may pop round my dads again, I need to weigh myself, but I am starting to lose weight which is nice. I have a health person advising me, which most of it is simple, but it does help. So, I will have to spend some time reviewing my food diary and to ensure I get some exercise in at home. The walk would be a useful thing too, as going and coming back will add up. Before my little ramble, I mentioned going to my dad. I spent the time with him from 1 until kick off. I would have stayed longer, but I don't like disturbing him when he's watching or listening to Derby. It was a nice afternoon, with laughs and him talking about Skegness amongst things. Tomorrow, that's straight forward. There are a few things I need to take care of on here, but otherwise I aim to relax a little.

Luke Williams : pre Colchester
Luke's interviews are great. I noticed a tweet from David Jackson earlier, and he mentioned how he loves to speak with him. I bet he does have more questions, but it's hard to ask them all when others are waiting and Luke Williams gives such detailed replies.

Freddie Sears signs for Dagenham
I said to my dad earlier, I felt surprised that Derby didn't go in for him since they have to rely on free transfers, and he could have been a decent short term option. Dagenham & Redbridge may have made one of the best signings this National League if it pays off.

Where are they now : Mawouna Amevor
Fairly quick, I wouldn't say rapid, but his sprint speed was fast at first. He wasn't to the level off Lewis Knight in terms of speed, which was extremely rapid. There were moments he looked quite good, but I don't think defending then was his strongest attribute. He had many moments where I recall the ball just not being controlled well, plus I do get the comment about him defining the laws of gravity.
