  1. He’s a very good player, but unproven to a certain extent. He has burst into the Forest team and they suit his talent. I am not sure he is ready to help a team that is supposed to be chasing the top 4. Spurs can bring the best out of players, so I hope that’s the case.
  2. Amazing win! Langstaff with the brace was the highlight. Top of the league, feels great being a Notts supporter right now!
  3. Either team could win on their day. If both teams perform their best, it will be an entertaining game and one that should showcase the quality we have. I think Accrington could easily miss out on the playoffs, but only by a few places. They are a good team, but they lack the goal scorer they had in Paul Mullin. None of their current strikers are players I would say could make our starting line-up, nor would I want them. I think there are only a few players of theirs that would fit our system. They work incredibly well together and their threat is mostly from midfield. If we keep them quiet, Notts will benefit from it massively.
  4. It’s good to see Jodi Jones get another call-up. I am pleased and proud. He’s someone younger fans can connect with.
  5. The difference between the National League and League Two isn’t that big. Some of the semi-pro teams in the National League perform better than your Walsall’s, Forest Greens, and Doncaster Rovers. The difference for me is the extra quality, but former NL teams that enjoyed a good season prior tend to do reasonably well in L2. It couldn’t be that much of a gulf if the standard was much higher. League One is where the gap is greater because there are many more teams who could be playing in the Championship. There are only a handful of teams in League Two that could adapt well to League One IMO.
  6. Lee Bradbury will find another club that he should do better with. Eastleigh can be a good team but they are performing above my expectations of them. I always looked at their squad and thought they were lower mid-table.
  7. I don’t think it sounds as bad as people are thinking. The club is probably just assessing things and seeing how Cedwyn Scott recovers. The scan would have shown significant damage if there was any, and that would allow for greater expectations on how long he would be out. It sounds like it’s not so serious but could be a difficult one to recover from.
  8. Interesting photo, I can’t say I know more than half of the players and even then I would struggle. Brad, Stubbs, Hateley are easy ones.

  14. Connell Rawlinson's goal, now that's determination and instinct. Shows what the Notts are capable of when underestimated.
  15. It's a pleasure to witness the journey of Notts through your lens, @Chris. The Faces of PON gallery is more than a collection of photos, it's a treasure trove of experiences. We share the joy, the thrill, the hope and even the disappointment. Keep smiling, keep shooting, keep inspiring!
  16. Even with TEN men on the field, we battled and held our ground. Great resilience, Notts!
  17. If we are creating chances to win games, then we must be performing well, and that should dispel any doubts. I understand that mistakes happen; everyone makes them. If this group of players did not make mistakes, I am sure some of them would be playing at a higher level. However, as Luke Williams says, coaching the mistakes out of them is the way forward. It will help make games more manageable, so if we encounter a tight game where a goal could make all the difference, being defensively solid would favour us in getting the points.
  18. Morecambe started to look like they were adapting to football, but their owner dropped the ball, and now they are where they are. I like their manager; I think he carries the club, and I hope for his sake that they can overcome the potential deduction.
  19. I am aware that Southend is in a mess, and there were comments last season about them needing to sell players. I do not like seeing any team struggle, but that is the extent of my knowledge. I do not know much about their owner or why he has decided to stop investing in the club. He should, at the very least, pay the bills and wages.
  20. It is debatable whether the EFL should grant the goal. I am sure there will be other goals that will not be credited to others, and that could be inconsistent. It is up to the EFL to decide; we accept it, and I am happy for Jodi. I just wonder what would happen if another player’s goal is denied, and it is more deserving
  21. Hello @Sir Magpie, I like your display picture. I have seen the gentleman magpie in my grandfathers collection. Welcome from me too.
  22. Welcome @NorthPie, you around the site.
  23. Some of our fans have been saying that we only beat Doncaster Rovers because they were so poor. Surely, they didn’t go to the match? We may have had a bit of luck at times, but the referee seemed to be on their side. So, Notts still had a lot to do. It was a confident performance in the second half. Even if we didn’t take our feet off the gas, someone out there would complain.
  24. Two of the best things so far are this extension and the goals Langstaff scored against Doncaster Rovers. I never doubted his quality and hope he scores on Saturday to heighten the impact of the good feel factor our club has.
  25. It was never a concern, those on social media calling him are the usual suspects and it is not believed that many of them even attend games. Langstaff has goals in him, he possesses that striker's instinct to put the ball away and he almost turned nothing into something when he got onto the ball which could have seen him score a third. He thrives on chances, so undoubtedly when he gets more, plenty of other goals will come his way.
