  1. @nottsfan81, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  2. It’s annoying, but that’s Puma for you. We will always have trouble whilst we accept it, and it’s unlikely to change. We have five more seasons of this, so my words of wisdom would be just to forget about the delays.
  3. It’s just nice to have the option to own one or two, even if they’re not perfect and exact copies. I have my eye on the 92 shirt. The badge is way off, but I don’t mind because it would peel off before. For that reason, these are okay.
  4. I think Matt Palmer is like a Duracell bunny. He just keeps going and has a great engine. You don’t play the number of games he did last season without being in peak fitness or being such an incredible performer.
  5. I can see it rising much higher, simply because our fan base is still quite small and only a few stragglers to the success will pay the ST prices off the bat. I suspect there will be between 9-13k to certain games where these will attend, but season tickets will be lucky to sell beyond 5,300.
  6. I did a quick look, and it seems that all of PON is included. I checked when I first joined and as I swiped left on my mobile to read the news. I have Notts set to show me their news, but I wasn’t able to find anything about this site. Now, I can find articles, discussions, and videos to do with Notts.
  7. It’s a very good interview. I appreciate the subject being brought up because it shows honesty and openness by Notts. Something which we haven’t seen a lot of over the years, but it’s refreshing to see it openly discussed. That said, I don’t worry about Aaron Nemane, and I find most other points to be of higher interest. I think the players being back in training, seeing Jim wearing his training gear before all, says to me that we have a strong squad and that the experience is leading by example.
  8. It’s what happens with public interest. It says more about the people than the celebrities. If two well-known people playing Uno makes people waffle on as if it’s the biggest news of the century, then they live very sheltered and shallow lives. I feel sorry for most well-known people. Their existence must be lonely at times and full of more wolves than a lottery winner’s letterbox. There might be ones we dislike, but we’re all human. They shouldn’t have every minute broadcasted. Until people learn to only pay attention to worthy things, nothing will change.
  9. I can’t see Gillingham getting the best out of Andy Dallas. But once one club shows interest, you never know if others will come in for him. It’s possible that others in our league may take an interest.
  10. I can’t say I have heard of him. I may have seen him play, but I just don’t remember. His story is one that I find interesting. Seeing a keeper get that big break, I hope he does well. If he plays as their first choice, it shows our nearest neighbours that you don’t have to throw transfer fees or wages at a keeper.
  11. I know it’s unlikely that Nottinghamshire Live sent a reporter, but I imagined in my head that they had. In the process, they became distracted by a dinosaur-themed crazy golf course. You couldn’t make it up. They are no longer serious about journalism or the news.
  12. I use Chrome myself. It’s just a convenient browser, and I haven’t had to download it. I don’t see much difference between Firefox or Chrome in terms of speed. They are both perfectly fine. Android and Windows have Chrome within their ecosystem.
  13. Hello, @NottsCountyKev. It's nice to have you here on PON and it's good to see you joining in.
  14. I'm a bit unusual in that I don't really mind what our kits look like. It would take a very special design to get me to buy a shirt. Most of them look fine, but it's been years since I felt compelled to buy one. Besides, I try to avoid the club shop and would rather send someone else in my place.
  15. I'm the same way. I buy polo shirts, t-shirts, caps and jackets, but I don't buy actual shirts. When it comes to Notts, I only have 4 shirts from the past 30 years.
  16. It's unbelievable, Jeff. I can't think of a team without a manager that would suit someone like Neal Ardley. I'm surprised he's left Solihull Moors - there must be something going on behind the scenes.
  17. It's a common occurrence for stores to eventually disappear, be consumed by others or be renamed. This has been a problem ever since supermarkets started seeing huge sales numbers. Smaller stores like the CO-OP, which used to be big, are now being taken over. For example, Sainsbury's purchase of Argos removed a giant high street store. There's nothing wrong with buying online, but the issue is more down to stores not adapting, staffing correctly or making the most of sales. British Home Stores fell because the person who took it over just wanted to asset strip it.
  18. I'm keeping a close eye on how we perform in our first season back. It would be great if we could finish in the top half of the table. Depending on how we do, we may even be able to dream of playing in League One. It would be incredible to achieve back-to-back promotions, but even if it doesn't happen this time, one day it would be amazing to see us playing in League One or the Championship.
  19. At home, no. However, at work it's a different story. I get very annoyed when I find that it's been moved from my security office. It's often being pinched, so I've taken to chaining it up when I leave to make sure it doesn't leave the room. I don't mind if daytime security personnel use it, but it's actually my own chair and I don't like it being taken without permission.
  20. It's amazing to think that Antonio Carbajal, Lothar Matthäus, Gianluigi Buffon, Rafael Márquez and Cristiano Ronaldo have all played in 5 World Cups! Just imagine the dedication and skill it takes to achieve that. I remember watching highlights of Antonio Carbajal play for Mexico in the 1950 World Cup - what a player!
  21. With working nights and having awkward shift patterns, it limits my time watching anything. I sleep during the day and evening, as I work early mornings and then have the graveyard shifts. I forget the last game I watched; it was probably a while ago. I mainly see extended highlights or clips online.
  22. I wish them all the best. It sounds like they have a real desire to succeed and are prepared to fight together. It’s a very unique story.
  23. I finish work at 9am. I’m pulling a double shift today. The graveyard shifts can be very boring. As I have mentioned, when I do my rounds it can be quite eerie and you have to be quite focused because the slightest sound can make you a bit paranoid if you don’t. On Sunday, I will be sleeping and enjoying a day where I have zero to do. I will probably sit and watch TV after I rest. I am one of those people who are in a routine.
  24. It was a good interview by Charlie. He got some good information across and it’s nice to see McGoldrick’s passion for Notts County. He’s had a very good career, so I hope he gets the ending to it that he desires and deserves.
  25. Lincoln City will be a good test for Notts in the cup. It would be nice to have a good run in them this season. With the size of the squad, there’s no reason not to take the League and FA Cup seriously. It’s game time for the fringe players.
