Transfer Rumours : Cedwyn Scott
The problem with rumors is that thereβs often no way to validate them. However, I think this one can be dismissed. It doesnβt look real. Itβs not an account related to League Two. It reads like a general account that isnβt serious about reporting transfer news.

August Player of the Month: Pride of Nottingham
I would vote for Jodi Jones, but I think itβs fairer to choose Dan Crowley. He might have been quiet initially, but heβs been more consistent in my opinion.

Opposition View: Swindon Town Fan Lee Witts' Honest Analysis Ahead of Notts County Match
Lee has answered the questions very well. I think the game will be closer. I canβt imagine either team will embarrass the other. I donβt expect Notts to play like they did against Grimsby. A good away performance would be nice. It would be good to keep a clean sheet, but I donβt see why either team wouldnβt score. Itβs a difficult place to win.

Sven-GΓΆran Eriksson: A Legacy Remembered at Notts County
Sven-GΓΆran Erikssonβs tenure at Notts County was short but left a lasting impression. His arrival brought unprecedented attention to the club and instilled hope among the fans. Despite facing financial turmoil, Eriksson's leadership was pivotal in ensuring Notts County's promotion to League One. His selfless act of waiving a substantial payoff to facilitate a takeover by new owners demonstrated his dedication and love for the club. His influence extended beyond the boardroom into the hearts of many supporters, making his legacy a cherished part of Notts Countyβs history.

Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC
Heβs a bit smug at times. I donβt like him as a pundit either, but I could watch him hosting or as a presenter, despite there being better people for those jobs. I donβt want to comment on his sacking.

Alassana Jatta: In The Goals.
He works hard and is a much different striker than Macaulay Langstaff, which isnβt a knock. Although some of his goals are tap-ins, thatβs a sign of his ability to read the game and how play can open up. Itβs not a bad thing in my eyes.

Good luck to him in his retirement. Iβm surprised to see this just three games into the season.

Stuart Maynard Hails 'Incredible' Notts County Performance After Grimsby Town Triumph
Maynard and his team deserve massive praise for this incredible win. The tactics were spot on and the intensity shown from the kickoff was brilliant. Dan Crowley, what a player! His performance was deserving of all the accolades. The defence, despite the late goal, showed some real grit and determination. The fans' support through thick and thin has been amazing and it's great to see the team giving back with performances like this. We need to be consistent, as Maynard rightly pointed out. A fantastic night at Meadow Lane and fingers crossed, many more to come this season.

Match Report: Notts County Fall in Dramatic Penalty Shootout After Six-Goal Thriller Against Shrewsbury Town
It simply wasnβt to be. I think we can go into our next league game with more confidence. While I would have loved to see another clean sheet, defensively, we can see there are still improvements. In a league game, it might be different. I think itβs sometimes hard for players coming on to match the standard of performance of those already involved. Yes, I am disappointed we didnβt win. We could have made the second round via penalties, but I wonβt let it change the good feeling we have after Tranmere.

Will Swan to Notts?
He could be a good player for us. The club is probably thinking about who they might be able to attract. If Will Swan isnβt getting game time, it could make the move likely. I donβt know much about him, other than that he was in good form and everyone was talking about him at Mansfield.

Tranmere Rovers 0-0 Notts County: Magpies Dominate Possession but Settle for a Point at Prenton Park
I am not downhearted. I think it was a spirited performance, and Notts looked very composed at the back. Going forward, all it takes is for one clever moment to open up the play, but I am encouraged by the display.

Notts Alumni: Jeff Astle
Jeff Astle will always be remembered for his heading and goal-scoring ability. Heβs a legend of the lane, not just at The Hawthorns. Itβs great to read this. I really enjoyed it and found it to be an excellent return for the Alumni series. Jeff would be thankful that thereβs content like this continuing his incredible legacy.

Conor Grant Eager to Make an Impact at Notts County After Signing From MK Dons
Itβs good to have him on board. I think thereβs nothing wrong with the number of midfielders we now have. Conor Grant looked sharp when he came on against Tranmere, and I am keen to see more of him. Considering Aaron Nemane left for a fee, itβs pretty much a win-win for Notts.

Match Preview: Tranmere Rovers and Notts County Gear Up for Exciting Season Start
Iβm feeling really optimistic about our chances this season, and this match against Tranmere could be the perfect way to kick things off. With the likes of Jatta, Scott, Jones and Crowley in our ranks, weβve got the firepower to really cause problems for their defence. I think itβll be important for us to get on the front foot early and put them under pressure from the start. Last season, our away form was a bit shaky, but if we can improve on that and get a result at Prenton Park, itβll be a huge confidence boost. Iβm backing us to come away with all three points!

Stuart Maynard Confident Ahead of Notts County's Season Opener Against Tranmere Rovers
Maynardβs cautious optimism is quite refreshing. It's clear that the teamβs focus on defensive improvements is paying off, especially with the stat about conceding only one goal post-60 minutes in pre-season. Itβs also great to see new signings, particularly defenders, strengthening the squad. Cedwyn Scott wearing the number nine shirt is fantastic news; his potential as a clean finisher could really make a difference this season. The fact that the team has been scouting Tranmere and is almost set with their starting eleven shows their meticulous preparation. Altogether, this gives me a lot of hope for the season opener and beyond. Can't wait to see the team in action!

Macaulay Langstaff Watch.
I believe they will gradually bring him into the team. He received a warm welcome and a lot of attention, suggesting that he was signed with the intention of becoming their new star striker. I wish him all the best. It would be great if he could come on as a substitute and score against Forest.

Notts Academy Is There Any Point?
At some point, Notts will need to give their promising young players more game time. The risk is relatively low, as mistakes are expected and itβs the only real way to determine if they will ever be good enough. Iβm disappointed that there doesnβt seem to be any solid plans focusing on this aspect of our development. Itβs also frustrating to see promising young players being released or sold, but thatβs always going to be part of Notts.

The Notts County Squad 2024/25
I imagine the club would be looking to sign some of the trialists weβve had, while also hoping for more activity from other clubs in the same situation. Notts might also be watching to see if any teamβs signings make an existing player more accessible. There are still positions and depth that need to be filled, and the departure of players has created room for improvements to the overall squad. I think thatβs why weβve seen some players released by mutual consent.

Macaulay Langstaffβs Transfer Fee: How Can Notts County Maximise Its Impact?
I think some of the money will have been used to offload some of the less effective players, allowing the club to reach mutual agreements with them. It would be nice to see some modest fees paid for areas on the pitch that need attention. Whether thatβs a striker to replace Macaulay Langstaff or a defensive midfielder, I would welcome it. The chances are that a better player could be found rather than a player without a team. Iβve heard that Notts are training away from Forestβs setup, but I think temporary agreements to use facilities would work. A permanent training ground would be a nice addition once weβre an established League One team.

Where are they now : John Bostock
Heβs a very good professional role model. I was sad to see him go, but now I believe itβs for the best. Heβll find a club. His wages might be a sticking point for some teams, but someone will sign him. Heβs too good to retire right now; he still has something to offer.
