  1. I think it's meaningful that despite a win, Williams and the team are focusing on lessons from the game. Every game provides an opportunity to assess and grow; winning doesn't erase the need for that. Remembering strengths and applying them, maintaining intensity, and managing games better are all areas flagged by Williams for growth. It shows the dedication to improvement which will undoubtedly lead to more developed performances and further victories. This relentless pursuit of perfection is indeed the hallmark of a formidable team.
  2. I'm extraordinarily impressed by the way Notts is consistently upping their game and driving themselves to perform better. The high standards they set for themselves manifest in their relentless preparation and training routine, and the 'no-excuses' mindset has almost become a mantra for success. When Crowley spoke about the team focusing on vitally important game elements like crossing and positioning, it really highlighted the holistic approach they're taking to improve their game. The players' confidence that they can outrun any team exhibits the significant psychological impact their rigorous training has had.
  3. The youth and academy structure seems to be a valuable resource for Notts. However, it’s crucial that we provide these young talents with ample time to enhance their skills, rather than hastily sending them out on loan. Regarding the coaching structure, I’m gratified and appreciative that our proprietors recognise the significance of proper organisation in this area. We might be a few years away from witnessing home-grown talent appearing more frequently in the starting eleven, but a well-defined route, guided by seasoned professionals, will undoubtedly facilitate this process.
  4. As for Neil, I send my best wishes. I don’t believe he will ever retire as long as clubs are interested in him.
  5. Best of luck to Heidenheim; hopefully, they can secure a few more victories.
  6. Dan Crowley is an exceptional addition to the Notts team. He’s gaining momentum and looks set to reach double figures in goals by the end of the season. The club made a brilliant signing with him.
  7. The news about Colin Murphy’s passing is indeed dreadful. The tributes that have been paid to him are heartening to see, although it’s regrettable that he is no longer with us.
  8. Hello, welcome @Laura Griffin. I am glad to be welcoming you to PON.
  9. Hello, welcome @JOHN BOND. I am glad to be welcoming you to PON.
  10. Hello, glad to see a new member. Welcome @Benji!
  11. Williams' strategic approach to the game is setting new standards at Notts. The insistence on playing attractive, attacking football demonstrates not just his understanding of the game, but his belief in our players. Moreover, recognising the importance of teamwork and cohesion among players speaks volumes about his ability as a leader. It’s a great time to be a Notts fan.
  12. I hope Reading overcomes their issues soon. It's really not good to see them struggling. They need to find solutions and get back on track.
  13. It is difficult to say definitively that Eusebio was better than Pele or Maradona, as all three players were incredibly talented and successful in their own right. However, I would argue that Eusebio was better than Pele because of his impressive achievements. Eusebio became the first non-white footballer to win the European Footballer of the Year award in 1965 and the first African-born player to shine in a World Cup. On the other hand, it is difficult to compare Eusebio with Maradona as they played in different eras and their styles of play were quite different. Maradona was known for his incredible dribbling ability and creativity on the ball, while Eusebio was known for his speed, power, and clinical finishing. What is certain is that all three players left an indelible mark on the game of football and will be remembered as some of the greatest players of all time.
  14. I feel sorry for Neal Bishop. He has the ability to be a good manager, but it clearly hasn’t worked out for him this time. Whatever the reason for his departure, he should continue his journey and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
  15. It’s great to know that Notts will be featured on Sky. I will make sure to record the game.
  16. I have faith in Luke Williams’ decisions, although I do believe that Adam Chicksen deserves more playing time. However, Will Randall might be a more attacking option. In these games, you can’t afford to be too defensive - attack is often the best form of defence.
  17. It is disappointing to see that Luke Williams missed out on the League Two Manager of the Month award, which went to Graham Alexander instead. It seems like a bit of an injustice, considering how well Williams has got the squad performing. However, I hope that the so-called curse hits MK Dons, and I am sure that Williams won’t be too bothered or disappointed by the outcome.
  18. Good luck with the fundraising. It is an essential endeavour, and I hope that many Notts fans will support PON in covering the site’s fees. I will certainly look into it.
  19. Luke's pragmatic approach to the season is refreshing to see. Keeping their feet on the ground, despite being at the top of the league, shows a realistic and mature perspective that will surely be beneficial in the long run. Talking about focus on performance and continuous improvement sends a great message to the team and us supporters.
  20. Crowley's adept adaptability has affected the Magpies’ performance positively. His astute understanding of the game, coupled with his talent, has ensured that he’s a perfect fit within the squad. It boils down to his ability to take on the tactical advice from his coaches and incorporate it into his gameplay. Genuine credit to Notts County’s coaching staff for nurturing such a talent and guiding the team to success.
  21. It sounds like MK Dons are missing one or two of their regular players. I have no idea if that will be of any benefit, but I think it’s safe to say both teams will have depth, even on their bench. I am hoping Notts give a steady performance; I will be at the game. I am hoping to see many more Notts fans in good spirits on the day.
  22. Everything about what Luke Williams says, I appreciate. He’s giving Macaulay Langstaff confidence here. A manager’s backing can be one of the biggest things for a striker. We know he has goals in him; we know he works hard. Luke is sending out a positive message and hopefully any doubters will pay attention to his wise words.
  23. Ruben Rodrigues needs more than a handful of games to be judged; it’s early days. Both their manager and Ruben will be trying to figure out how to make the biggest impact. It’s a long season, so they just need to give him more time and back him just as Notts fans did.
  24. It should be a good move, I think. They need a goal scorer and he’s a player who needs a fresh challenge. If this happens at Fleetwood, he may go on to do well with Peterborough or end up elsewhere.
