  1. Is the U18s squad officially enrolled in an EFL youth league?
  2. Hello, @Mark Holland. Welcome! I hope you visit PON often and enjoy being part of the community.
  3. Hello, @jake008. Welcome! I hope you visit PON often and enjoy being part of the community.
  4. I feel your struggle, @ARLukomski. Your post really highlights the toll this is taking on your mental health. It's a big decision to make, especially when it's something you've been dedicated to for so long. What stands out in your videos is your genuine love for Notts, and that's a big part of why people watch. Maybe taking a small break first could help clear your head? It could give you a new perspective on whether this is something you want to continue. Remember, it's not quitting, it's taking care of yourself. And in the end, you'll know if you really want to carry on or if it's time for a new chapter.
  5. Are there any vegetables that you’ve had to eat in the past that you didn’t care for? Or perhaps ones that you’ve never taken a liking to? My grandchildren aren’t fans of rhubarb and many other vegetables, such as cauliflower, peas, radishes, Brussels sprouts, and so on. These are all things that you wouldn’t hesitate to eat when hunger strikes, as was the case in my younger days. I’m aware that rhubarb is more commonly used in culinary dishes nowadays, such as crumbles and simply served with custard. However, I still enjoy it occasionally with roasted duck, not just in desserts.
  6. With larger squads, more frequent games, and players with potential health conditions, I believe the current system is fine. However, before long, you might be able to substitute your entire squad. It should be kept to a reasonable limit, but I fully support the current setup.
  7. I recall the sounds the old stands would make, particularly in windy or rainy conditions. The fans were packed tightly, which helped with warmth, but the lack of toilets could make it a bit unpleasant on warm days when fans would retreat to the back of the stands. I was quite fond of the earlier version of Meadow Lane, such a striking and iconic ground. Derek Pavis did well by not straying too far from it.
  8. Yes, England’s logo used to feature a crown, and the shirts were more akin to rugby shirts. A modern logo with the crown arching over β€˜England’ and the β€˜Three Lions’ would be quite appealing.
  9. The old one’s rusted and fallen apart. I could replace the wheel, but the barrow wouldn’t move with it. I’ve bought a new one from B&Q. This time, I’ll make sure it’s not exposed to the weather and is covered when not in use. The last one I had, well, it’s been with me longer than my eldest grandchild has been alive.
  10. I do remember him, but not much about what he achieved at Notts. I recall thinking that the money spent was a waste. Leeds United must have been pleased with the deal, but sadly, the funds could have been used more wisely.
  11. That was a close call. People often criticise the fit and proper process, but wouldn’t he have been caught out by it?
  12. It would be sensible to consider this player. He could provide more options and might be willing to compete for his spot in the team, which is exactly what we need. Given that the club has several left-footed defenders, a right-footed one would be a good addition.
  13. The question seems a bit pointless now. I’m delighted to see England make it to another successful final.
  14. His stint at Notts doesn’t seem to have done much for his career. If he was happy warming the bench, it suggests a lack of ambition and determination. Notts needs the exact opposite, players who are at the top of their game. While I wish him well, I’m glad he’s moved on.
  15. Lately, I’ve been dedicating time at the allotment to cultivate a variety of vegetables. Previously, my attention was more on plants and flowers, but I’ve shifted towards creating a more eco-friendly home. I’ve planted potatoes, carrots, beetroot, tomatoes, and rhubarb. Recently, I harvested some of my produce. I decided to use an old wheelbarrow to transport the ripe vegetables. However, just as I was about 10 feet from my car, the wheel came off the barrow. Now, I find myself in need of someone who can repair my wheelbarrow. @Wheelbarrow repair man.
  16. Our first look at the team could potentially reveal other areas that need strengthening. Assuming we can avoid injuries and improve our fitness levels in time for the start of the new season.
  17. I hope we don’t choose to make David McGoldrick the captain. He seemed to be past his prime for most of last season, and while I’m sure he’s a good player when he’s on form, the roles of captain or vice-captain should be given to someone younger.
  18. Hello, @Jake. I am pleased to welcome you to the site, have a good time sharing your thoughts and reading PON.
  19. I’ve seen many talented players come and go. While I’m disappointed, I’m mostly proud. I’m proud to have witnessed a fantastic striker like Macaulay Langstaff work tirelessly for this club. I commend him for proudly wearing our colours and doing everything he could to help us achieve a respectable position in League Two. He’s an excellent player, and I hope he continues to excel.
  20. I wish the young player all the best. He has a better chance of becoming a first-team player than he does here at Notts.
  21. Notts requires players who are dedicated and prepared to compete for their spot. This season could have been a significant challenge for Kyle Cameron. It might have given him the chance to prove some of our fans wrong. However, I think he’s opted for the easier route, which is to leave the club. I’m disappointed about that.
  22. While it’s disappointing to see Langstaff leave Notts, it’s a move he truly deserves. His stats speak for themselves, 71 goals in 97 appearances is nothing short of amazing. Playing in the Championship will be a great opportunity for him to showcase his talent on a bigger stage. Millwall have gained a fantastic player who is not only a goal scorer but a leader and professional through and through.
  23. Best of luck to the pair of you stepping up to further assist this wonderful website. Well done to both of you, and do keep up the high standards, won’t you?
  24. I’m rather fond of it, but I shan’t be purchasing one. I might rue this decision as I usually buy one every season, but I’ve told myself I need to cut back. At my age, I tend to wear my favourite ones anyway, and I can put the money to better use on other club items. I must say, the design is rather splendid.
  25. A grand number of tickets sold, I must say. I’m quite taken aback by the amount sold, and a steady number should be snapped up again by the time the season kicks off. As long as we stay near or exceed the numbers from previous seasons, we’re moving in the right direction.
