Notts County Unveils Stylish New Home Shirt for 2024-25 League Two Season
The new Notts home shirt is a sight for sore eyes. The black design, with a touch of white and faded stripes, is quite the spectacle. The clubβs eco-friendly approach, using all recycled materials, warms my heart. Itβs a joy to back a team that values our planet. Some might quibble over the sponsorβs colour, but all in all, this shirt is a triumph.

Farewell Rawlinson
Connell's departure marks the end of an era. His contributions were good at the beginning of his time here, and he leaves a big hole to fill in terms of character.

Weekend chat - Fri 28th - Sun 30th
I plan to stay out of the sun, unless the weather changes again. Itβs been quite hot, a bit too much for me to venture outside, but itβs been pleasant to have some warm days. One can enjoy the garden while staying in the shade to avoid the sun.

Shrewsbury away Carabao Cup
It should be an interesting match. It will be intriguing to see how the two teams stack up against each other a season later. If anything, itβs going to be a game from which we can learn valuable lessons.

Where are they now : Kane Hemmings
Kane Hemmings is a superb player. I usually get anxious about seeing players return, but I think Hemmings might find it more challenging to score against us this season.

Notts County Fans Hopeful Amid Transfer Rumours Surrounding Macaulay Langstaff
Good players have always come and gone at Notts, but the fans are a constant. I understand that Macaulay Langstaff is a fan favourite, but that doesnβt necessarily mean a bid would be accepted. Even if a bid is accepted, terms still need to be negotiated. I have faith in the process and hope he stays with us.

Defender Rod McDonald Joins Notts
Really pleased with the signing of Rod McDonald. His background speaks volumes, having played for such diverse teams and bringing a wealth of experience. Notts County clearly sees the value he adds, not just defensively but also as a leader. His involvement in two promotions and being named Player of the Season for Crewe underscores his calibre. Eager to see how his presence will elevate our performance this season.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Railwaymen (H)
Iβm fairly confident in our capability against Crewe, I donβt wish to belittle them but Iβm anticipating a very standard and routine game. If we can perform well in the first half, we might see a stronger squad in the second half and an overall good performance for the full 90 minutes. I donβt foresee Crewe to be easy opponents, but I do believe we wonβt find them as challenging as some suggest.
-
Goal Line Technology.
Indeed, but I agree with @Fozzy the demands for enhancements to the match officials. They need to undergo more training and elevate the overall standard. How some of them manage to maintain their professional referee status in football baffles me.
-
Alassana Jatta's visa application approved.
I believe Alassana Jatta is a suitable choice, we do require height and until heβs given a chance, we simply canβt predict how heβll adapt to our system. I envision him as a potential replacement for David McGoldrick when he becomes fatigued. Iβm pleased that heβs finally joined Notts, will we witness him in action on Saturday?

Loan Players Good Or Bad Idea?
Callum McGregor and Jqack Grealish were gems, weren't they? I wish loan deals always worked out like theirs. It's hit or miss, but those hits can be game-changers for us.

Weekend Chat - Fri 9th - Sun 11th February
It's been pleasant having the weekend free. I've been tidying up and organizing my shed, which got a bit battered in the recent storms. After that, I've simply been watching a channel called Talking Pictures, taking a trip into a bygone era. I expect tomorrow won't be any different. I can't wait for it to warm up so I feel more motivated to take a walk, go fishing, and so on.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Gills (H)
The defending was really poor yesterday, and it's been a growing issue. It felt inevitable that we'd face scoring challenges since we can't just outscore every team at this level with our tendency to concede goals easily. I usually stay for the entire game, but I left around the 75th minute. Losing is fine, but we didn't seem likely to score a second goal. I preferred leaving early to head home rather than freezing further watching that. It's not Stuart Maynard; the players aren't learning from repeated mistakes. Let's look ahead to the next game and hope for improvement.

The Next Five Games, Season Defining?
These matches could determine where we might or should end up at the seasonβs close, though theyβre less indicative of what to expect from Stuart Maynard. Newport and Crewe should be simpler games, but being away from home raises questions. Mansfield, Gillingham, and Wrexham are all challenging. If we can secure 4 to 5 points from these games, Iβd be very pleased. If we can avoid defeat against Mansfield and perhaps spring a surprise, who knows what could happen?

Notts County Embraces Change: Stuart Maynard Steps into the Spotlight
Some supporters will always have doubts about any manager, no matter their background, but Stuart Maynard seems to have a certain quality. He appears more promising than Luke Williams, whose track record was hardly noticeable before he arrived here, and yet he did amazing things. We need to reignite that spark in our play and secure some important victories. The Mansfield match is crucial for this reason. If we can succeed there, it will boost support for Maynard. Given the points Mansfield has been losing recently, I think we have a good chance of upsetting them.

What's the point of VAR?
Iβm not a fan of VAR, I believe it spoils the game and highlights the inadequacy of officials. Itβs not a positive promotion for football, but itβs preferable that the right decisions are made as it reveals how often things are overlooked. Itβs just the use of VAR, I donβt reckon itβs something that can be sorted without training.

Latest injury news
I donβt put much stock in the players doing well, itβs pleasant to hear but anything can occur. Iβm more eager to see when the players are ready to play. Will Randallβs signing has been quite odd given his frequent absences.

Kyle Cameron Leads Notts County with Unwavering Focus Amid Managerial Change
A captain's duty extends beyond the pitch, and Kyle Cameron exemplifies this. His commitment amidst managerial shuffles is promising. His focus on collective team improvement, especially after acknowledging defensive lapses, shows maturity. It's not only about bouncing back but about creating a coherent unit that can withstand such setbacks, vital for the upcoming fixtures.

Notts Countyβs Future Under New Head Coach Stuart Maynard
I've done a bit of digging into Stuart Maynard's past and his rise through the ranks is not only impressive but also indicative of a manager who's ready for greater challenges. At Wealdstone, he overcame resources constraints and still pulled off wonders, fostering team spirit and a winning mentality. That resilience and ability to do more with less is exactly what can turn Notts County's aspirations into reality. Of course, transitioning to a bigger club will come with its own set of challenges, but Maynard's adaptability could very well become our greatest asset.
