Such a disappointing injury to see happen. I wouldn’t have thought he was injured until the club announced it. I think they wanted to beat the media rounds, but I am curious how long they knew he wouldn’t be coming back any time soon. It seems a bit of a while between Accrington, then Bromley, to now, even if they were waiting for the full results. I wish him well though; he’s been a great signing.

It’s good news about the returning players. Defensively, I think we are fine. My concerns are more with Cedwyn Scott and the front line, as this is an area we can’t lose too many players. I know we have Jevani Brown, who could come in, but as I say, it’s largely positive news. I think Stuart Maynard has a good chance of managing the situation with injuries and giving some players who might not have had minutes more time.

You have to respect and appreciate what Dan Crowley brings to the team. He’s 27 now, and for us, we could go up the leagues with him as one of our star players. I don’t think there’s much sense in worrying; we just have to enjoy the football and value what he brings week in and week out. He’s such a quality player and a big part of the success we are experiencing. I am pleased to read his comments about the new players settling in. He’s right about how not changing every style or completely overhauling the squad helps to bring in settled players.

They flew very quickly. It’s a shame that some fans won’t be attending because the wrong people got hold of tickets, but it’s great to have so many fans going. I just hope most of them are regulars and have been to more than one or two games. This fixture is for the die-hard fans. I’m a bit unsure about this loyalty scheme, though. I’ve seen comments from fans who missed out, which makes you wonder, but it’s a good thing overall.

It should be a good game. I would take a draw myself, but I think it’s a game where both teams must give their best. I thought it was interesting how PON highlighted the other day that last year we were second and Gillingham were top. It shows both teams started brightly again, so let’s hope Saturday’s game is a thriller.

Poor start. If they don’t improve sooner rather than later, it could force them into a relegation battle and a squad with no hope of survival. It’s not good for Morecambe!

This is a great read, mate. I think you summed up everything very well. Jodi Jones is a different class at this level. We were so fortunate to land him in the National League. He helped us massively then, but since his contract and all the comments he’s made after, about wanting to get goals, you can see it in his play. Such a brilliant and exciting player to watch. His deal is more than just stability for him or just a three-year deal. It’s commitment and a sign that the club’s heading in the right direction. The fact he feels he needs to further repay the club shows his class off the field, and his actions on it prove how fortunate we are.

It’s great how the squad handled the setback. Going 2-0 down early in a game is tough, but they fought back to win 4-2. Notts showed a lot of class and determination. It’s pleasing to see the squad support each other and focus on their performances, instead of getting frustrated. I am happy for Stuart Maynard too.

You wouldn’t know that Matt Palmer prefers starting because he finds it harder to get into the game. He just goes about everything so smoothly and controlled. I think people mistake captains as being loud and in your face, but when you have someone calm and steady with their performance, they can encourage the players around them. It was great to see Palmer back. He’s had it tough while injured and he was missed. It’s fantastic to see him getting minutes. I look forward to him playing 90 minutes like he did before his injury. He’s that important to this team.

It was pleasing to see Jodi Jones calmly convert the penalty. Their keeper almost got to it, but it was excellently placed by Jodi. The start can be like that; teams spring a surprise, and Bromley might feel they should have used the 2-0 lead more to their advantage. I don’t know, I feel it’s more frustrating to lead a game and lose it than to start on the back foot and impressively overturn it with a 4-2 victory. I have clips of the game and the highlights. Notts looked like they played some classy football.

We are much improved since our last match, with higher quality in our play, but this won't matter if we don't perform well or reach our full potential. They have many of the same players, so we could review past games, which I’m sure the club has done using Football League footage. We are now at the same level, so both teams will be closely matched and will aim for the best result. I believe we should do well, or at least I hope so. A draw wouldn’t be too bad, but I’d be happier if we can push for a win without conceding or losing.

I wish I could make it, but it’s too far for me at the moment. I’m only going to local games right now, which might just be home games, and I’ll really miss the away days. It’s matches like this that we’ll look back on at the end of the season, so I hope we can get a good result.

You have to love Jodi Jones. His attitude is spot on, and you can see the professionalism in his comments. What a quality signing he has been. His loan deal and eventual permanent signing have been great. The worry about him leaving now is quite similar to when he was a free agent, but time and time again, he has shown his commitment to Notts. I really think this deal is very promising, as it shows intent not only to retain players where we can but to create that spark to chase promotion.

It was good to see Notts get straight to making Accrington work. The way we passed early on gave Notts a feel for what to expect from them. Making them chase for the ball, as we casually knocked it around, gave our players a glimpse into how their movement would open up. I think we started to figure that out quite early, hence the focus on playing the ball through the middle to David McGoldrick. Jacob Bedeau’s pass was well-timed, and McGoldrick’s finish was Premier League standard. With Notts using the centre of the pitch a bit more, it was encouraging. Though we did use the wider spaces to draw markers and at times needed to lump the ball forward. There was only a little bit of pressure from Accrington, as defensively Notts were on top of things. I liked seeing George Abbott get stuck in. It took him some time to get more involved, but it’s not a negative. I think for the first 20 minutes he just wanted to focus on defending and what he could do to help, while he became more confident on the ball. He looked good going forward too, very focused with his passing. I am not sure how a third goal didn’t go in. I can imagine if David McGoldrick hadn’t scored his goals. Some of the saves Michael Kelly pulled off were frustrating, as he did have a top game, but Notts were just unlucky at other times.

This is great news for Notts County! I'm so happy for Jodi. He's an amazing player, and he's much better than most players at this level. He's one of the best players in League Two, and we were lucky to have him in the National League. I'm glad we were able to keep him and stop other teams from signing him.

It is good to know that Notts County are helping such a talented young player to start his senior football career. It is nice to see him settle in at Meadow Lane. I hope he enjoys his season with us, as he looks set to make a big contribution to our push for a top finish. Spurs fans will hopefully be delighted to know that he is doing well and being taken care of.

It was impressive to see how Notts continued to play despite Accrington Stanley's rough play. I think Accrington Stanley were lucky not to have received a red card. Stuart Maynard's management during the game and his choice of players were excellent. I hope this will lead to more support for the club. This is a good start for the club, and we can build on it. If we can bring back the togetherness we had during the promotion season from the National League, that would be even better. I think Stuart Maynard is very polite and focused, despite the negativity expressed towards him. This is the start we wanted, and we need to continue to believe in ourselves.

He's before my time too, but I'm very familiar with the name Paul Devlin. He played for Notts for a decent amount of time, so I'm not surprised that he's well-liked and considered a club legend. I haven't seen him play, but I think this article gives a good insight into him as a player.

That's a solid opposition view. I'm pleased to see these discussions return, and I think Michael answers the questions very well. He's right that Accrington Stanley played well against us last season, but it won't be easy for either team. I'm hoping for more than a win for Notts, but I'd respect a point against a side like them.

I hope we repeat the applause in the 76th minute or at least chant his name. His time at Notts brought a lot of attention to the club and reawakened a sleeping fanbase. To be the best team in that season and win the title, after it seemed to be between Rochdale and Bournemouth, I think it's only right we repeat it.

It should be an exciting match. I think most teams that play us at home will try to counter-attack to combat our possession. Accrington Stanley are a good side at this level and will certainly give us problems. Matt Platt, Lewis Macari, and Jacob Bedeau seem to be forming a solid partnership in defence, which is very effective alongside the commanding presence of Alex Bass. They give me a lot of confidence, but we're strong in every area of the pitch. I think Jodi Jones will thrive on the attention Stanley might give him.

I'm glad Greg Abbott is still involved in football. The last I heard, he'd beaten cancer and was enjoying life after his recovery. I think his illness forced him to step down from his previous position, so it's nice to know he's still around the game he loves. He always had a great sense of humour at Notts.
