  1. Jacob Bedeau was great going forward and a rock in defence. I couldnโ€™t fault his performance at all.
  2. I have looked back at the tackle, which was a fair challenge. The Gillingham player won the ball, but he did go through and clatter Jodi Jones, which you could say was reckless. I think it was knowingly done, but well-timed. I canโ€™t complain about it. Jodi was holding his lower leg, and his socks were pulled around the area he was holding. It looks quite serious, but we can only speculate. I think he will miss several games if we are lucky. The worst scenario is that he will be ruled out longer than Curtis Edwards has been.
  3. On another day, Notts would have won, and I think it shows good character from our players. Itโ€™s a shame that Jodi Jones had to go off; that could prove to be costly, but we will have to wait and see. I thought the officials were terrible. I hope we can return to winning ways soon and just focus on making this season the best that we can.
  4. Who remembers these? Five nostalgic discontinued items you may never see in supermarkets again from Panda Pops and Cadbury Dream | The Sun WWW.THESUN.CO.UK DISCOVERING your favourite snack has been taken off shelves can be genuinely disappointing. This week it was revealed that soft drinkLiltha Can you add any other items that have been discontinued that you miss or liked?
  5. This isnโ€™t good news for us, as Curtis Edwards has been in great form and key in our home games for getting results. We do have cover, which is a relief, but we also have other players out like Scott Robertson and the ones mentioned earlier.
  6. Reading about Gillinghamโ€™s fans and their views gives us a good idea of what to expect. They have a strong belief in their squad's depth and tactics, particularly appreciating the role of Mark Bonner. From a Notts perspective, this upcoming match demands a high level of tactical awareness and energy. Our midfield will need to be dynamic in both breaking up play and creating opportunities going forward. The Gills have highlighted the potential of Bradley Dack and Conor Masterson, so marking them effectively will be crucial. I expect a fiercely contested game, but I believe we have the quality and team spirit to come out on top. Letโ€™s support our lads and hope for a brilliant match!
  7. Jodi Jones, not because of the goal or contract renewal, but 100% based on his performance. If you havenโ€™t watched the full game, go visit the club website.
  8. Heโ€™s out on loan until January. He could continue to score and end up being given another chance under Stuart Maynard, who doesnโ€™t always stick to playing based on how long theyโ€™ve been at the club or if they are friends. He could be given a chance, as I think Junior Morias would have asked to go out on loan. Otherwise, why wasnโ€™t he put on the transfer list along with Will Randall, Aidan Stone, and Connell Rawlinson? It also begs the question, why wasnโ€™t a mutual release clause agreed if he wanted regular football? We wonโ€™t know, but I wouldnโ€™t rule it out.
  9. Happy Birthday, @CliftonMagpie! ????????
  10. The squad has impressed me because they have grown in confidence since the opening day and the 2-2 draw against Fleetwood Town. Itโ€™s like those games were matches our players believed we should have won. Therefore, they have the drive to make sure we improve on the performances, and we have. Notts are looking exciting, and while itโ€™s early days, itโ€™s promising! I hope we can maintain our undefeated start against Gillingham.
  11. Happy Belated Birthday @ARLukomski! Hope your day was as special as the victory we had yesterday.
  12. It's great to see Notts handling the pressure so well, even when things start off poorly. Stuart Maynardโ€™s tactical tweaks were spot on, and it shows how prepared and versatile the team is. Jodi Jones was fantastic with his brace, and Dan Crowleyโ€™s goal added the icing on the cake. Our defence also deserves praise for their resilience as Bromley pushed forward after we equalised. This kind of performance is what makes a team championship-calibre. Here's hoping we can maintain this unbeaten streak and continue to impress.
  13. Jodi has always been a standout player, and extending his contract is a massive boost for us. His drive to score more goals while keeping up the assists will be crucial in our push for promotion. The team looks stronger with the new players, and Jonesโ€™s dedication to consistently perform well throughout the season is encouraging. Weโ€™ve seen clubs lose steam, but having a player like Jodi Jones focused on the long game gives us confidence. Itโ€™s fantastic to hear heโ€™s comfortable returning to the right wing, where he seems to thrive the most. Letโ€™s hope this is the year we make our mark!
  14. Welcome back, WRM. Are you sure youโ€™re not the living dead? It sounds like you have had a rough time. I am sorry to read about that. Take care of yourself. โ€œAlways look on the bright side of life.โ€
  15. Absolutely over the moon to hear about Jodi Jones' contract extension. His impact on the team last season can't be overstated, he was a truly standout player. The fact that he's committed to the club until 2027 shows how much faith both he and the club have in our future together. I particularly appreciate his comments about focusing on adding more goals to his game. This kind of attitude is exactly what we need if we're aiming for promotion. The versatility he brings, being able to switch wings effectively, adds a lot to our playing style. Here's hoping he continues his stellar performances and leads us to greater heights.
  16. A good performance would be nice, but I am more interested in getting those points on the table. I want the players to feel they are heading in the right direction. Bromley will want to show they are good enough to compete with Notts, so it could be a tough game where our lads will have to dig deep. I agree, we have the quality to make the result go our way. I just want to see Notts defend like they have been, without conceding. That would be a confidence boost for everyone.
  17. I am awfully sorry to read about AmericanPie. I have seen comments from him in the past but never knew him on a personal level. I donโ€™t know anyone that well on PON, but I do think the community cares about each other. That should be reminded to him.
  18. Jodi Jones is clearly a very level-headed player. I wouldnโ€™t blame him for wanting to play at a higher level at this stage. Heโ€™s still quite young and has the best years ahead of him, but heโ€™s committed to Notts. What a fantastic attitude to have, as he seems to think he owes us something. He really doesnโ€™t.
  19. How many seasons have they gotten away with cheating? Itโ€™s a joke when clubs try to fight it and delay it. I think the FA and Premier League need to be stricter when clubs donโ€™t abide by the rules. We know they have broken certain rules, so the punishment needs to fit the amount of time taken to apply any penalties or sanctions.
  20. @Countyman I had a similar experience bumping into Brian โ€˜Killerโ€™ Kilcline, but I obviously knew who he was. This was when he played for Coventry. He was very friendly, but his appearance was still very intimidating. He warmed up when I told him I was from Nottingham, but he did ask me which team I supported, which put a bit of a stir in his eyes. Thankfully, we all know which team that is.
  21. Securing Jodi Jones' signature until 2027 is an incredible achievement for Notts. His 24 assists record is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his influence on the pitch. Not only has he been a consistent creator for his teammates, but his growth as a goal threat and defensive player shows his all-around development. With his continued stellar performances, Jones is destined to lead the Magpies to greater heights in the coming seasons. His ability to adapt and excel, particularly on the right wing, makes him a crucial part of our strategy moving forward. Well done to the club for sealing this deal!
  22. What a brilliant piece of recruitment we had this summer! Alex Bass has been a fortress in goal, and his performance against Tranmere can only be described as commanding. The defensive additions, especially Bedeau and Platt, have transformed our backline into a much more resilient unit. The midfield depth with the likes of Curtis Edwards and Jack Hinchy is impressive, giving us options to rotate and keep players fresh. The balance and flexibility the new signings bring truly reflect a well-thought-out strategy. I feel like we have all the tools to challenge for success this season.
  23. I really enjoyed reading Steff's perspective on Bromley FC. It's fascinating to see how a small club can make such significant strides in the Football League. The fact that Bromley has managed to maintain their composure and perform well, despite the occasional ups and downs, speaks volumes about their resilience. Their recruitment of a gamer for tactical insights is quite innovative and shows a modern approach to football management. Notts will need to be on their toes, especially in dealing with Bromleyโ€™s attacking style.
  24. Donโ€™t take anyone for granted. Try to be there for your friends, especially if you know they are suffering. Let them know you are there, even if itโ€™s just a simple hello. It makes a difference. The video is gripping and powerful.
  25. Iโ€™m thrilled to see Jodi Jones get the recognition he deserves. His nomination for League Two Player of the Month is no surprise considering his performances. Three assists and two goals in August highlight just how influential heโ€™s been. His ability to unlock defences and create scoring opportunities is unmatched. Jonesโ€™ vision and pace add a dynamic element to the team that helps us dominate games. A true professional, he's a role model for younger players and a joy for us fans to watch. Even if he doesnโ€™t win this time, heโ€™s already a winner in our eyes and crucial for our promotion aspirations.
