  1. Well done, @Piethagoram and @super_ram. You both contribute so much to the site, and I appreciate that. I’m delighted for both of you to have been voted as the members of the month.
  2. It was a great win. If we’d started brighter, I don’t think there would have been any doubt. I think we need to be a bit more consistent in defence. If we handle those early decisions better, I think we’ll get into the swing of games much quicker. Jodi Jones, Dan Crowley, Aarone Nemane, and David McGoldrick were all top-notch.
  3. I was in awe of Notts County's determination and teamwork. From Aidan Stone's timely saves to David McGoldrick's fantastic strike, everything seemed to align perfectly for us. Big shoutout to Junior Morias for that clinical finish! The win not only lifts our spirits but also puts us in good stead for our future games. Onwards, lads, let’s keep this energy going!
  4. The aim now must be to rally behind Williams' words and look to improve. The dilemma we have on our hands isn't insurmountable, it's about harnessing the potential that's already within the squad. Rediscovering the intensity and the willingness to fight in every situation is the key. With Chicksen back in the team, things look a bit more hopeful.
  5. He was an excellent player, not just for Notts, but for every team he represented. His talent was evident, particularly his knack for taking set pieces. Whether it was corners, free kicks, or set plays, Ben Davies was always the best choice.
  6. I'm sure the lads can shake this away game performances. What better way than to do it against Wimbledon? It's time we make this a game for the history books. Let's roar the lads on to a legendary win. Pie till I die!
  7. Williams’ honest analysis is praiseworthy, showing a coach who embraces accountability. The team’s first-half displays have been remarkable, showcasing their potential. Yet, the second half needs more focus. Our resilience appears to lessen, causing a drop in intensity and control over the match. This can be disheartening for fans. However, let’s turn this into a positive. It’s a chance to identify and address weaknesses, and to improve our second-half strategies. This will help maintain momentum throughout the match, leading to more exciting games. Stay positive!
  8. The new bar is such a great addition. Coincides well with the cold season too, nothing like a drink to keep the spirits high during the chilly games.
  9. Malta demonstrated decent form at times, but their control and first touch were lacking. England commenced the game on shaky ground and appeared significantly worse at times. There was no need for unnecessary ball play, but credit to Malta for making a contest of it. The final score doesn’t accurately represent the match, and I don’t believe Declan Rice’s goal should have been disallowed. Harry Kane was also fouled for a penalty. The referees were the most disappointing aspect of the game.
  10. Regardless of Bradford City’s managerial change, we must still strive to perform at our peak and seize the opportunity presented by the game. If we can dominate and dictate the game while defending valiantly, I will be content. I aspire to see us attempt to reach double figures in terms of shots on target. Such targets are imperative if we wish to secure promotion, as is securing the 3 points in tomorrow’s match. Defeat is not an option; it would be a disappointment, but let’s rally behind the lads!
  11. As fans, we typically see the action on the pitch but rarely understand what transpires on the training ground and in the managerial offices. Williams' interview was an insightful sneak peek into exactly that. This man wholeheartedly understands the ground realities of our club and football in general. His perspective on Notts' challenges, his emphasis on strategy, and his pragmatism on team performance, it's all inspiring to see. He truly is the right person to challenge the status quo and transform Notts County.
  12. I’m not bothered either way. I can see good reasons for it and with other clubs choosing to reintroduce some standing areas, it makes sense. Notts should create a specific area for safe standing and then see how it goes. I have heard people calling for Meadow Lane to revert to full standing and that is just silly. You need some seats, if not more than the area for standing would allow.
  13. Luke Williams appears to be a manager who is dedicated to his players. I can’t imagine him leaving for Oxford. I also don’t believe the rumours that he has had an interview. It seems like fearmongering to me. Thankfully, he has put an end to the rumours. This should satisfy any true Notts fan.
  14. Being kind can make a big difference. However, this shouldn’t be done just because of a special day or message. It should be how we behave every day.
  15. I've been following Notts County for years, and I must say, Luke Williams' tenure has been one of the most exciting periods for the club. His leadership has brought a new energy to the team, and the promotion from the National League was just the icing on the cake. The rumours linking him to Oxford didn't have me worried, but it seems to have concerned other fans this article has put those fears to rest. It's clear that Williams sees Notts as more than just a club. It's his home, and that's exactly the kind of passion and commitment we need to take this club to new heights.
  16. I’ve never been a fan of the stuff, considering there are much more appealing alternatives available. I can comprehend why it would be phased out due to demand; it can’t be as prevalent in a world that’s leaning towards healthier choices.
  17. We’re aware that Crewe has the potential to excel and even pose a challenge. It will be intriguing to see how Notts approaches the match. It’s likely that Luke Williams won’t deviate much from previous league games, although I anticipate Dan Gosling will start in this game. The absence of Matt Palmer will be a setback, but this signing significantly fills the void for the time being. A strong performance and result could be a game-changer.
  18. This is an exciting time for us Notts fans! Dan Gosling’s arrival is more than just a signing – his qualities could positively influence the club’s atmosphere. Gosling’s impact on our younger players will be vital. I can envision them learning valuable skills from such an experienced player, which will hopefully strengthen our squad.
  19. Let's be fair, the situation at Oxford United is quite a predicament. Crucial decisions lay ahead. They should see how Short delivers before rushing their decision.
  20. In the world of football, we can't overstate the importance of leadership and experience. Take Dan Gosling, our recent signing, for example. His time at Bournemouth and Everton wasn't just a stint, it was a testament to his strength. He was the rock that brought stability and consistency to the teams. His tenacity never faltered, and his determination was unyielding. No matter what challenges were thrown his way, Gosling stood firm, a quality that is both commendable and inspiring. Now, as we open our arms to welcome Gosling into the Notts County family, there's a buzz of anticipation and excitement in the air. Gosling isn't just a player; he's a symbol of perseverance, a trait that resonates with the spirit of our beloved club. His addition to our squad is more than just a new player on the team sheet. It's about bringing in a wealth of experience and a mindset geared towards victory. We're confident that Gosling's influence will ripple through the team, instilling a culture of resilience and determination. So here's to you, Dan. Welcome to the squad. We can't wait to start this journey with you.
  21. In the current game, the impact of leadership and experience cannot be overstated. The signing of Gosling takes me back to his days at Bournemouth and Everton, where he was seen as a backbone of sorts. His tenacity, determination, and resilience of never giving up regardless of the odds, is something that our brilliant club Notts County could surely benefit from. Welcome to the squad, Dan.
  22. Notts sealing their place under such pressure is proof of their mental strength and solid teamwork. Looking forward to more of such displays of determination!
  23. Bristol City 0-0 Coventry City Hull City 0-1 Southampton Burton Albion 1-1 Bristol Rovers Peterborough United 2-1 Wycombe Wanderers Bradford City 3-2 Wrexham Joker Colchester United 2-0 Harrogate Town Rochdale 1-1 Oldham Athletic Southend United 0-2 Solihull Moors
  24. A perfect reminder that setbacks are part and parcel of sport. We should always remain positive and loyal to our team.
