Well, he’s joining a team that has a recent and robust promotion season under their belt. Rod McDonald is another player who has tasted promotion, joining a squad that defied the odds to reach League One. Here’s hoping he can add a third promotion to his tally.

As an observer, I can see that there are groups of people who obviously know each other, but unlike other communities, it’s not divisive or that they see themselves as superior. It’s about people getting along and making everyone feel welcome, which is refreshing to see. Communities are all about this, when you see people enjoying themselves and continuing the conversation, it’s wonderful.

It may not be the largest space, but it could serve well as a fan zone. It’s important that all profits go back to Notts, as this will support improvements in other areas. The club is taking on a very ambitious project.

It’s just like Notts to control the game, keep the pressure on, but then let in a goal. People are making too much of Stuart Maynard’s words about crosses. He might have just slipped up. Jatta might not be the best at handling crosses unless he can bring them down, as he prefers the ball at his feet. Some say he’s not good in the air, but I’d still have given him a chance. I won’t use a stressed head coach’s words to prove a point; it’s not that important. Some of our supporters on social media wouldn’t cope with being in management for even a day.

It’s tough to predict our next victory. The Crawley match is crucial, but if we can’t defend or score, Notts will face difficulties. Starting Jatta and having Macca support him could work. Some suggest benching Macaulay Langstaff, but he’s a proven scorer. Dropping him might weaken our attack and lessen our chances of scoring.

The real quality at our level seems scarce, to get two players that are above our level in the same season is something I didn’t think would be achieved after Jack Grealish and Callum McGregor. While Ryan Yates and Jorge Grant are not at their level, they’re still extremely good players that demonstrate the benefits of using the loan system wisely. I believe if this area is used incorrectly, it can be a waste of time. There’s no point in taking on players that aren’t up to the mark, it’s all about ensuring whoever comes in is of a good standard. If we can do this with players who we sign permanently, we should be able to do it more often in the loan market, budget permitting.

Maintaining our home form is crucial, as it’s been instrumental in securing our stable position in League Two. Our performance in away games this season has been average at best, while our home games have been largely successful. The team needs to keep this momentum going, not just by putting on a good show against Crewe, but also by securing a win to continue our push for the playoffs. We need a goal to strive towards.

There's a different air around Meadow Lane with Maynard at the helm, and as someone who's seen plenty of coaches come and go, I rate his chances. Notts County is becoming a real hub for young talent to shine and for him to choose our club despite interest elsewhere is a massive compliment. His vital statistics are impressive, and I can't wait to see how he slots into Maynard's setup. The future looks bright for both Warner and the Magpies!

@liampie, I'm also a fan of cycling! I've been meaning to get my bike out of storage and start cycling to work again. Do you have any recommendations for good cycling routes in the Nottingham area?

This is definitely something that would make for great television. I can imagine the drama that would unfold if this were turned into a movie or TV show.

We won’t get a real understanding of Stuart Maynard immediately, so we’ll have to wait and see. I think he’ll want to begin with the best squad possible. If we utilise the ball well, we might be able to return to the form that took us to the top of the league. Let’s be fearless, we can do it.

It’s a solid appointment. I believe his track record is worth taking a chance on and he seems to be quite knowledgeable. I’m very pleased with the decision. I’m confident that he can bring about changes to make Notts stronger.
