Very good interview and very informative. Martin looks as though he's got a good head on his shoulders. He agrees with the owners football ethics & will carry them out, but it does look like he has his own ideas to improve the team's performance especially off the ball where Notts do need to improve. He is going to get lots of support too, from the new coaching staff that he will be managing. He talked about the Technical Board that the owners have organised & this board & the discussions within it will help Martin to make better decision making regarding the team. I do wish him luck in his new position & along with the changes that the owners have made, Notts could be looking forward to a good future under Martin.

@Chris Nothings been said but I wonder if the two will have separate remits to work on. For example the police have a few assistant chief constables in their forces. Maybe a question by a reporter at the introduction of Martin Paterson's press conference could clear that up.

So a new innovation from the Owners is the new Technical Board which will consist of the Reedtz brothers, Head Coach Martin Paterson, Assistant Head Coach Andy Edwards & First Team Coach Sam Slocombe who will join Director of Football, Roberto Gagliardi & Director of Performance Dr David Rhodes. They will meet regularly to discuss football strategy, team & player performance, data insights & other matters. Assistant Head Coach João Alves wasn't mentioned but I'm sure he'll be included too. Fans on social media have concerns about it, but it looks like the owners are determined to take the Club in what they believe is the best model to get success on the football field. How do PON members feel about this new model. Is it the best way for Notts to go. Do you have any concerns. Can this new change in organisation at the top bring success?

It seems to me that some fans aren't reading the statement from Notts in their App. Martin Paterson will be picking the team, deciding on the game plan, tactics & style 👇 "Paterson, as Head Coach, will have ultimate decision-making responsibility for each game plan". I think this new overall Notts model can get Notts challenging for promotion next season. I will be supporting them every step of the way.

After reading the Notts write up on the new appointment, I am now very encouraged by the changes the Reedtz brothers have made to the coaching structure now under the appointment of Martin as Head Coach. I wish him lots of luck in his new role. I'm absolutely delighted that Sam Slocombe has been appointed First Team Coach. He will give lots of support to the HC & will be a bridge between the players & Martin. And the appointment of Andy Edwards as Assistant Head Coach is a good appointment. The Coaching staff will join our Director of Football, Director of Performance & the Reedtz brothers in a new Technical board to discuss strategy, tactics, player performance & results. I am excited about the new roles appointed & the new coaching organisation. I think that it will be very helpful to get success for Notts. The other thing is that Martin's teams are hard working & hard to play against, & well organised, something I wanted to see. I hope the Notts fans get behind him and our new coaching staff.

Let's not forget. Sam Slocombe as been appointed to a coaching role along with Andy Edwards. Sam will be First Team Coach & Andy will be Assistant Head Coach. I'm really pleased for Sam, he deserves it and I wish him lots of luck. Dam staying gives the coaching department continuity & I think he can be a good bridge between the players & Martin, the new Head Coach. Andy Edwards has been coaching the England under 20s so he as plenty of experience, so the coaching team is being built under Martin, which gives a lot of encouragement.

So that's the question I am asking PON members. Do you think that Martin can get Notts promoted next season. Looking at his wiki he hasn't had a lot of EFL experience as a Manager. I was expecting a Head Coach with much more EFL knowledge after Stuart Maynard has been promoted from the National League & his inexperience of EFL football showed at times & he failed to get Notts promoted. I will get behind our new Head Coach but I can't help feeling that he may find it difficult.

Martin Paterson is a bit of a surprise after all of the speculation & conjecture, but the owners have appointed him, so I guess we should all get behind him & give him a chance. My concern is that although he has a lot of EFL experience as a player, he hasn't had much experience as a Manager/Head Coach.
