  4. It was a great move by Notts to bring back David to Meadow Lane. His experience hasn't just been a benefit to Notts on the field of play where he has netted 18 goals in 48 appearances since his return. He has also been very important to Notts off the field as well, such as on the training ground. Being a senior figure he has taken on an unofficial mentoring role & has given lots of advice to his fellow players at the club. Although he may not be the club Captain he leads by example on the field of play. His determination & work rate is an inspiration to others too. He has been a positive influence on young players at the Club with his passion & desire. Hopefully that positive influence will galvanise his fellow Notts players to some silverware at the season's end

  14. Another sunny morning here. It's been another cold night & the ground is fairly hard. There are still large patches of snow on the ground. Had some bulbs delivered for next spring. We were planning to plant them for next spring and early summer but that will have to be shelved for a while. Snow is forecast for Saturday but they are saying it will turn to rain as the temperature rises, so hopefully a fast thaw will take hold & the ground will become softer for planting.

  16. Could be just a rumour or a whisper, but it would be a coup for Notts if the whispers are true.
  17. Pedro will always be an icon to Notts fans. If I close my eyes I can still see him doing his stuff on the meadow lane turf. He was also a great servant of Notts. I don't think you'll ever see many more players spend almost all their professional footballing life at one club anymore. It's just not the in thing nowadays. If a player looks like he has the talent to go further, or even if he doesn't, they are all snapped up in a matter of time because we are in the age of the football agent,
