Perhaps he was injured when they were taken??🙃

Some thoughts about Jodi Jones
Good? Yes, but top 3 championship class? No. That would mean he would get into the teams promoted to the Premiership. The reasons he may leave have been well explained by @YoopEyes @StarkMallard @Fan of Big Tone and others on this thread.

Some thoughts about Jodi Jones
I quite like the ruthless streak that The Brothers have implemented - they have certainly learned from being perhaps a little too sentimental after the last promotion to League 1 when they stuck with too many players expecting them to make the step up. Younger, ambitious players are surely the way forward even though they must recognise that not all will make the grade.

Were the Notts owners ready for League One?
https://www.swanseacity.com/news/ollie-cooper-makes-notts-county-loan-move Of course the Brothers were prepared! 2 promotions in 4 years! From total disarray to planned progress in 7. And yes, August will be a nightmare start but it will all end well.

@Graham totally spot on analysis 👏

The Summer Transfer Business: Who stays, who goes, and who comes in?
Perhaps loans have been delayed as players have not yet returned from the world cup. This trickles down as the squads higher up take place - I think 🤔. While loans are very useful it does leave you in this situation where you have to replace key players each year. Must be a hard balance to achieve.

Jatta departs for Portugal
I don't think, or at least hope, that we have not. Three strikers on the books; one experienced but not a regular scorer, one inexperienced but not a regular scorer, that puts a lot on the shoulders of Mr Smyth who has scored well in the last few months in Finland but is still relatively inexperienced. It would be nice to have one more on board; probably again unproven but then perm 2 from 4 or 1 from 4 and we have some cover and some room for one of them to really develop under Patto's guidance. (Yes, I am ignoring Traore)

@StarkMallard very true. Seems to have been on the cards for a while. Of course a great loss but so was Langstaff. The model moves on.

The Summer Transfer Business: Who stays, who goes, and who comes in?
@menzinho Agreed - JJ seems so settled. However, money does talk. Would be a big miss if he goes, even if he only manages 3/4 of the season and he has to be nursed a bit. Jatta I feel is different, yes undoubtably would be missed, but the model of buy cheap-develop-move on at a good profit seems to fit his situation to a tee. Also we need to pay for some of the recent 'undisclosed fees' with the other signings made so far.

Is this our next signing? ...edit....yes, Luka Smyth
Listening to the interview and judging by the weather he must have signed last Thursday or Friday. Perhaps they like to spread out the good news on signings 🤔

Jack Evans. Another diamond in the rough??
Putting your golf balls into baskets is quite legitimate. However, the Aussue striker would be a nice addition and then we are probably short of two more? One more striker One more No. 10 Anymore on the shopping list?

Jack Evans. Another diamond in the rough??
We seem to be stacking the midfield with players of the season from other clubs. I quite like this as a strategy. Given our approach midfield is hugely demanding and so cover is essential. Liking the signings so far?

Matt Baker - now official
I think the Newport supporter quite likes him 🤔

Bid in for Jatta?
Listening to Patto's interview it sounds like 3 or 4 more signings expected and certainly to add goals.

New Signing: Emile Acquah to Notts
I think 25 year olds have realised their potential. But like others, I too am a firm believer in the recruitment process so here is hoping.

New Signing: Emile Acquah to Notts
There must be a serious sub plot to this signing. He's obviously not a striker as most centre halves score more goals. I think he actually plays in goal and is back up for Roos.
